Holder for Charging Cell Phone (made from lotion bottle)

Holder for Charging Cell Phone (made from lotion bottle)
My husband and I both have cell phones. And both of us have phone chargers. And that means lots of obnoxious cords. You never know when one of us may be moving phone cords around, to give our phones an extra charge while we’re chatting away……… or trying to charge our phones up before running errands or something. Needless to say, those phone cords seem to be everywhere…..and are generally in the way and hanging all over the floor. (Okay, and how about when you’re in a hotel or visiting family/friends. I was looking around on the internet for a solution and found this. It made the perfect little holder for my cell phone while it’s being charged. Holder for Charging Cell Phone And no more phone hanging down from the outlet while in this room or that room……..the cord and phone are now up off the ground, and tucked away into the little holder, while the phone drinks up a full charge. If you look closely, you can see that the orange print is fabric. And turns out, it’s pretty useful.

Free People Clothing Boutique Blog UPDATE: This post originally ran on March 23 2011, but with summer winding down we wanted to bring it back up for some late summer inspiration! a fellow fp girl sent this to me a couple weeks back and i’ve been thinking about it ever since! i can think of a million reasons why these would be awesome… as apartment décor, as outdoor party décor, and – wouldn’t they be the best thing EVER for camping in general or at a festival? just let them sit in the sun all day, and they’ll last all night! i am absolutely going to make some to bring with me to bonnaroo this year.

DIY- Portable Toolbox Grill- Improved! My idea of a great family vacation doesn't include fancy hotel rooms or fine dining. Hubby and I are literally happy campers sleeping under a ceiling of stars and a quiet campfire to light the night. Every Fall, we take a roadtrip south-of-the-border to sunny Baja California Sur. The 3-4 day trek often involves overnight camping, and outdoor-grilling goes along with the territory... no matter where the territory is. When I first saw a portable Tool Box Grill online, I loved everything about it. Toilet Paper Roll Wall Art Well that’s a mouthful! So the time has come, it’s Pinterest Challenge time again! Every season Sherry from YHL and Katie from Bower Power throw a little link party to get people to stop pinning things and actually start making. This couldn’t have come at a better time because I have wanted to start this project forever and once Miss Kelly made her way into my kitchen I knew it was time to start it. This was the image I saw that sparked me to start saving my toilet paper rolls. You can find the post here.

stencil with freezer paper Yes, I am a nerd. I came up with a brilliant idea for a Harry Potter t-shirt and I couldn't resist. "Expecto Patronum!" However, you can make whatever kind of design you want with a freezer paper stencil. It doesn't have to be Harry Potter related. Coat-Hanger ANGEL WINGS Christmas parties are always full of little angels, snowflakes and Santas. This year we chose the angel theme. The wings were mostly Grandma’s handiwork, but we do take credit for the idea, the materials, the short deadline… “the party’s on Friday, Grandma…” The dress was sewn from an old curtain, of course You need 3 wire hangers, a garland (for the halo) and some tulle ( You are also bound to need a pair of pliers to straighten and shape the hangers.

On the Cheap: Scrapbook Paper iPhone Covers I found this clever trick on Pinterest the other week from Oops I Craft My Pants and had to try it for myself: iPhone covers using scrapbook paper! Now when I had my first cell phone in high school (the old Nokia), I probably had about 15 different cell phone covers that I would switch out to match my clothes everyday! I figure this scrapbook paper iPhone phone cover is an easy way to update my phone without spending all the cash! First thing I did was purchase a couple sheets of scrapbook paper from Michael’s.
