Row 1: (RS) k1, k2tog, *k4, (k1, yo, k1) in next st, k4, sl next 2 sts tog as if to knit, k1, psso (double decrease); rep from * to last 3 sts, end ssk, k1 Row 2: Knit. Chevron Love Afghan. Chevron Love Afghan Let's get ready to CHEVROOOON!!!

Multiple of ch sts is not given for simple patterns requiring 1 ch for each st, nor for patterns starting at center. For each additional repeat of pattern desired, add required multiple of ch sts to number of sts on foundation ch given in instructions. Sweet Squares Baby Blanket

Introducing the “Sweet Squares Baby Blanket” - a crib-sized granny square blanket designed by our lovely crochet teacher Julie Kadoi! The soothing rhythm of crochet combined with simple pleasure of trying out color combinations make granny squares HIGHLY addictive. Our “Sweet Squares Baby Blanket” uses eighty, 3″ by 3″ squares, accented with Julie’s fancy (but super simple) Zig Zag join, check it out! The pattern calls for the squares to be made first and then seamed together into three panels, but you could also use the Join-As-You-Go method like Julie did for adding more squares. I personally find it very satisfying to watch a stack* of colorful granny squares form on my desk before seaming together. Aside from being an enjoyable project, the blanket makes a lovely gift for new babies. Julie shuffled eight colors of Classic Elite Mesa to create the kaleidoscope of granny square goodness you see here.
