02_Short_Paper. Raffaello D'Andrea: The astounding athletic power of quadcopters. PlayStation Move. PlayStation Move (プレイステーションムーヴ, PureiSutēshon Mūvu?) Is a motion-sensing game controller platform by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE), first released for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) video game console. Based around a handheld motion controller wand, PlayStation Move uses inertial sensors in the wand to detect its motion, and the wand's position is tracked using a PlayStation webcam (PlayStation Eye for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Camera for the PlayStation 4).

Although PlayStation Move was introduced on the pre-existing PlayStation 3 console, Sony stated prior to release that it was treating Move's debut as its own major "platform launch", with an aggressive marketing campaign to support it.[7] The tagline for PlayStation Move from E3 2010 was "This Changes Everything",[8] including partnerships with Coca-Cola, as part of the "It Only Does Everything" marketing campaign which debuted with the redesigned "Slim" PlayStation 3.

Indoor positioning system. An indoor positioning system (IPS) or micromapping[1] is a network of devices used to wirelessly locate objects or people inside a building.[2] Generally the products offered under this term do not comply with the International standard ISO/IEC 24730 on real-time locating systems (RTLS).

There is currently no de facto standard for an IPS systems design, so deployment has been slow. Nevertheless, there are several commercial systems on the market. Instead of using satellites, an IPS relies on nearby anchors (nodes with a known position), which either actively locate tags or provide environmental context for devices to sense.[3] The localized nature of an IPS has resulted in design fragmentation, with systems making use of various optical,[4] radio,[5][6][7][8][9] or even acoustic[10] technologies. Systems design shall take into account that an unambiguous locating service will require at least three independent measures per target. The additional capability of tracking in real time—with minimal latency—opens up the experimental possibility of manipulating sensory feedback, thus allowing detailed explorations of the neural basis for control of behaviour. Utilizing several such cameras on different aerial vehicles allows further flexibility, in terms of increased visual scope and in the pursuit of multiple targets. In this paper, we address the problem of tracking objects across multiple moving airborne cameras. Since the cameras are moving and often widely separated, direct appearance-based or proximity-based constraints cannot be used. Instead, we exploit geometric constraints on the relationship between the motions of each object across cameras, to test multiple correspondence hypotheses, without assuming any prior calibration information. We propose a statistically and geometrically meaningful means of evaluating a hypothesized correspondence between two observations in different cameras. Photogrammetry. Photogrammetry is an estimative scientific method that aims at recovering the exact positions and motion pathways of designated reference points located on any moving object, on its components and in the immediately adjacent environment.

Photogrammetry employs high-speed imaging and the accurate methods of remote sensing in order to detect, measure and record complex 2-D and 3-D motion fields (see also SONAR, RADAR, LiDAR etc.). Photogrammetry feeds the measurements from remote sensing and the results of imagery analysis into computational models in an attempt to successively estimate, with increasing accuracy, the actual, 3-D relative motions within the researched field.

Its applications include satellite tracking of the relative positioning alterations in all Earth environments (e.g. tectonic motions etc), the research on the swimming of fish, of bird or insect flight, other relative motion processes (International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing).
