How to Draw Celtic Knotwork

I have used Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, and AutoDesk AutoCad for various projects, but my favorite is Corel Draw. In the tutorial below I show the method that I use in Corel Draw; however, I have deliberately left out program-specific instructions. I did this to make the instructions more broadly applicable to work with as many drawing and CAD programs as possible. This method, like most, begins with drawing the grid. The second step is to draw in the diagonals. Next draw in the connecting curves that will become the edges of the knotwork. This is the step that most people have the most trouble with: deciding where to "Break the Grid". So, where do we put these spaces to make an aesthetically pleasing design? Here is how I do it:: I CHEAT! 1). Or 2). But back to the tutorial. Follow the diagonals until you come to a red line. We're almost there! I brought a blanket that looked like a big lollipop a few months ago (here), and it was a big hit, so I figured food shaped gifts would go over well. They did. I bought 4 onsies, and two pairs of pants. The pants were a little thick, but they turned out cute. I rolled them up tightly, and then added a rubber band to hold them in this shape. I had this little cupcake taker my friend Heather brought me knowing I'd 'need' it for a craft in the future considering my love of all things cupcake.

Six cupcakes later, I had a little gift to tie up and bring to the party. Diaper Baby. The Perfect Baby Shower Decorations. Everyone will be oohing and aahing at the party when they see your baby shower decorations!

DIY Woven Bracelet & Necklace « greeneyed.com. I’ve been itching to make myself some jewelry inspired by Aurélie Bidermann’s “Do Brasil” line. And that means lots of obnoxious cords. You never know when one of us may be moving phone cords around, to give our phones an extra charge while we’re chatting away……… or trying to charge our phones up before running errands or something. Needless to say, those phone cords seem to be everywhere…..and are generally in the way and hanging all over the floor. (Okay, and how about when you’re in a hotel or visiting family/friends. I was looking around on the internet for a solution and found this. It made the perfect little holder for my cell phone while it’s being charged.

And no more phone hanging down from the outlet while in this room or that room……..the cord and phone are now up off the ground, and tucked away into the little holder, while the phone drinks up a full charge. And of course I couldn’t just leave the poor little holder alone……I had to Mod Podge some fabric right onto it for some kick. Related posts: Stencil with freezer paper (harry potter tee)

Yes, I am a nerd. I came up with a brilliant idea for a Harry Potter t-shirt and I couldn't resist. "Expecto Patronum! " However, you can make whatever kind of design you want with a freezer paper stencil. It doesn't have to be Harry Potter related. (Although it would be awesome if it was.) I learned about the joys of freezer paper back in my early college days. Basically, freezer paper is backed with a plastic coating that will stick to soft surfaces when ironed, but it peels off cleanly and easily. To make a sweet t-shirt you will need: paper & pencil a t-shirt an iron a piece of cardboard or poster board fabric paint & brush Start by drawing your design on some regular old paper. My design kept getting bigger, so I taped two sheets together. Next, place your design underneath a sheet of freezer paper and trace it neatly with a sharpie.

The marker gives your lines greater width making it easier to cut them out and paint them in later. Important: Set these shapes aside. Ric Rac Rosettes. Butterfly Bracelet. Bear.
