Neurotransmitter Molecules Neurotransmitters can be broadly split into two groups – the ‘classical’, small molecule neurotransmitters and the relatively larger neuropeptide neurotransmitters. Within the category of small molecule neurotransmitters, the biogenic amines (dopamine, noradrenaline, serotonin and histamine) are often referred to as a discrete group because of their similarity in terms of their chemical properties. Click on the links in the table above to read more about some of the important neurotransmitters.
Love brownies. Love their shiny, flaky top that shatters into micro-thin shards that shower onto your fingers as you eat. Love their dark, gooey center. Their “chocolate nirvana” flavor. Sometimes can’t deal with the bake, wait to cool, cutting into squares messiness and fuss of brownies. Want something I can enjoy within 5 minutes of its exit from the oven. http://www.kingarthurflour.com/blog/2008/05/18/a-brownie-by-any-other-name/

Creamy Garlic Alfredo Sauce {My Go-To Dinner Saver!} - StumbleUpon

http://www.melskitchencafe.com/2011/10/creamy-garlic-alfredo-sauce-my-go-to-dinner-saver.html I am not (not!) exaggerating when I say this quick, creamy garlic alfredo sauce has changed how I view non-dinner nights. You know. Those nights when dinner just ain’t happening. Too many things going on. Too lazy (who, me??)
How do you make bread even better? You stuff it with pepperoni and cheese. Then, you bake it in a bundt pan that allows you to pull off little chunks and dip them in pizza sauce. http://www.thesweetslife.com/2011/10/pepperoni-pizza-monkey-bread.html

http://digiphile.wordpress.com/2009/06/11/top-50-twitter-acronyms-abbreviations-and-initialisms/ This past January, I wrote up the “ Top 15 Twitter acronyms ” for @pistachio ‘s Touchbase blog. As readers rightly pointed out, many were abbreviations or initialisms — hence the title for this post. I followed that up with a “ Top 10 NSFW Twitter Abbreviations .” This list combines the two and includes some key additions, like HT, RE and FML. If you have others you think I missed, add ‘em in the comments. @ Reply to [username]

The argument that President John F. Kennedy acted recklessly during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 is one forwarded by revisionist historians. Writers such as Barton Bernstein have argued that the actions of Kennedy were based upon his assumption that he viewed the missiles placed in Cuba as an offensive military threat. The argument seeking to apportion blame to Kennedy claims he resorted to a public and military response to the crisis rather than using private, diplomatic channels. However, the charge of recklessness can ignore the influences of domestic pressures, the motives of the Soviets, the influence Kennedy’s advisers and the perception of the crisis at the time.

In redox reactions, electrons are transferred from one species to another. If the reaction is spontaneous, energy is released, which can then be used to do useful work. To harness this energy, the reaction mus tbe split into two separate half reactions: the oxidation and reduction reactions. The reactions are put into two different containers and a wire is used to drive the electrons from one side to the other.

I’ll be honest I’m usually not a fan of Skrillex but I just came across this new mix he just dropped on his radio show and I’m loving it. It’s Dubstep mixed with some Techno Synth and it definitely isn’t half bad. A few classics mixed in with sick new tracks and exclusives.
