I went to see tUnE-yArDs on Monday night with some friends, and as always we wanted to cook a meal that somehow related to the show we were heading to. Sometimes this is hard to do , but other times it seems to come naturally . Finding culinary inspiration in Merrill's lyrics seemed like it would be tough, but my sister knew what she wanted to make without hesitation.
February 21st, 2012 When I first graduated from college, and was living in a dreary little apartment, mac and cheese was one of my few specialties. Granted it was straight from a box, but it was one of those meals that made me feel like I was home. I shared a gussied up truffle version a couple of years back ( here ), and since the Academy Awards are just days away, I thought I’d make it more party-friendly. I followed this recipe and found the bite-sized portions to be even more appealing, and were just as good served hot as they were room temperature.

Wednesday, April 7, 2010 Lincoln’s Red Velvet (Cheesecake) Cake Psssst…. there’s a surprise inside this pale exterior! Oh yeah! Red Velvet Cake, with Cream Cheese Frosting… AND A LAYER OF CHEESECAKE IN THE MIDDLE! This cake has been in the planning process since February.
There’s a thing in my house that when you have ripe ol bananas either you make banana bread or banana fritters. These delicious tasty treats can be eaten morning, noon, or night, as a snack or as dessert. These fritters are so easy to make and will satisfy any craving you may have. So if you have a few of these bananas lying around your hose… don’t toss them, put them to GREAT use! Enjoy!
Ok – I’ve found a new favorite ingredient at the store. They’ve probably existed for years, and I somehow missed them. But hey — they’re new to me. :) I’m talking about…. Mini-pepperonis!!!! Have you seen these?!
Breakfast is my favorite meal. I like to drink iced coffee and watch the cream climb its way down the chunky ice cubes in a dazy before the caffeine hits. I like to order bacon with whatever I’m eating. I like eating potatoes with ketchup.
There’s nothing like a french fried potato. The taste, the texture, the dip-ability; it’s probably one of my favorite go-to comfort foods. However, I don’t need the fat of an actual deep fried potato, and I certainly do not favor processed french fries that come from the frozen food section of the grocery store. Enter: Healthy French Fries* Step 1: Peel your ‘taters. This isn’t necessary, though, but if you decide you want the skin on make sure you scrub-wash them first.
Posted on Wednesday, 21st July 2010 by Grace Massa Langlois I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t like Oreo cookies or Cream Cheesecake Cupcakes . Who could resist cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies ? Not Me! Especially the double-stuffed Oreo cookie , it’s one of the best cookies for dunking into a cold glass of milk. I went out yesterday to do my weekly shop, came home, and before I was able to bring in the first grocery bag Matt was hunting for the cookies and cream ice cream .
Remember those meatballs I made for a “special idea” on Friday? Here is that idea, Spaghetti and Meatball Pot Pie. I took the concept and figured if pizza was a good pot pie, then spaghetti and meat balls would be too. This isn't as much a recipe as it is a process.
As always, thanks for visiting my site! If this looks delicious to you, please sign up for my occasional emails . . . with more great recipes! One of my absolute favorite flavors in the world (right up there with Nutella and mangoes) is Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce . Spicy, smoky, and oh-so-yummy!
Oh how I love a treat that can be whipped up in about 15 minutes. My boys and their buddies couldn’t get enough of these Chewy Oreo Bars we had as an after school snack this week. Sometimes my spontaneous recipe creations turn out to be the most fun, lol! Yes you use an entire package of Oreo Cookies, but what you get in return is a marshmallow-y Oreo treat that is worth every bite Surprise the kids (and yourself) with this one, they’ll be all smiles, Enjoy!
I didn’t want to have to be the one to tell you this, but March has almost come to a close. You know what’s next? We’re going to steamroll through April, freak out through May, scream through summer, then Christmas music starts.
