Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Cupcakes

Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Cupcakes
See the UPDATED video post for this recipe HERE!! Until making these cookies & cream cheesecake cupcakes, with an Oreo on bottom, I hadn’t eaten an Oreo since I was a kid. This recipe not only brought back chocolatey childhood memories but also reminded me of how much I like Oreos. I didn’t think I liked them that much now that my palate has, ahem, matured, but I was wrong. Very wrong. And I also realized that it is very dangerous to not only make these cupcakes but to have a package of Oreos in the pantry.

Kitchen Window: Corn, East Indian Style This recipe is adapted from Modern Spice by Monica Bhide (Simon & Schuster 2009). These small patties take practice to make perfect. Make sure the peanuts are not ground too fine. There should be small pieces in the mix. Fry on medium heat to make them perfectly crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. For the cooked corn you can cut kernels off roasted, steamed or boiled ears, or use well-drained canned corn or thawed frozen kernels. Crazy Domestic: Popsicle Brownies Here's a super fun and easy idea for kids or for a summer party! My daughter's eyes were as big as saucers when she saw these! WHAT YOU NEED:•1 box brownie mix or your favorite homemade recipe•almond bark•food coloring•popsicle sticks•sprinkles

Caramel Tart-Caramel Tarts-Chocolate Tart-Chocolate Tarts-Pasta Frolla Posted by Grace Massa Langlois on Friday, 8th July 2011 When I finally decided on Lemon Meringue Tarts for the holiday weekend I knew I would have to offer another choice because not everyone in my family is a fan of citrus desserts. It didn’t take me too long to decide on the other option because everyone in my family loves chocolate. I decided immediately to pair the chocolate with luscious caramel.

An Amatueur Entremet: Pumpkin Mousse Cake Pumpkin Mousse Cake (entremet) Grown men. Bawling uncontrollably. Over failed pastries. Bento sized mini-meatloaves Who doesn’t love a meatloaf? (If you eat meat, that is.) Sliced leftover meatloaf is great in sandwiches, and it’s also very nice in a bento box. Meatloaves also freeze very well, since they have a moistness to them. While I do like to make a big meatloaf now and then, I also like to make these mini-sized meatloaves specifically for the bento freezer stash. Coca-Cola Cupcakes I don’t drink coca-cola. But I do eat it. Weird. Yeah, I dunno. It’s way better eaten.

Cheesecake Bars I was in the mood for something cold and lip-smackingly sweet. Something I could sink my teeth into. Something to maintain my weight. So I made this treat with a few of my favorite things. Chocolate Cupcakes with Flaming Strawberries Call me easily amused, but these little torch-topped cupcakes delight me. Besides being a cute novelty item for a party, I think they would add a little drama to the end of a romantic meal. I've been looking for something different to serve for Valentine's dessert, and this is definitely different. The strawberries are hollowed out and filled with a bit of liquor, then ignited with a match. For the cake portion, I chose a One Bowl Chocolate Cupcake recipe because 1. it's quick 2. it is easy, and 3. it fits my prerequisite for a light ending on date night.
