Literacy for Life Overview Student success must extend beyond the classroom. As a teacher, I search for lessons that bridge the school world and the world outside of school.

This website provides news articles for students to read based on grade level and topic of interest. It often includes videos that students can watch about the articles as well as bolded vocabulary terms that students can click on and learn more about. Articles range from K-12 reading and interest levels. Recommendations: 1. Have students choose a topic or article of interest and research it. 2. Have students read through specific articles and pay attention to key terms. Students can further talk about the words they learned to use from the article as well as how they can use them in different contexts. 3. Students can also create meaningful questions from the articles they read about. 4.
