China’s CRISPR twins might have had their brains inadvertently enhanced The brains of two genetically edited girls born in China last year may have been changed in ways that enhance cognition and memory, scientists say. The twins, called Lulu and Nana, reportedly had their genes modified before birth by a Chinese scientific team using the new editing tool CRISPR. The goal was to make the girls immune to infection by HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Now, new research shows that the same alteration introduced into the girls’ DNA, deletion of a gene called CCR5, not only makes mice smarter but also improves human brain recovery after stroke, and could be linked to greater success in school.

Astuces utiles pour aider à gérer correctement les données d'une API Your company invests thousands, possibly even millions of dollars into equipment for collecting data because data holds the key to product innovation. For each trend that you identify from your data, you can potentially deliver a new feature or product to market quicker to capture new market share in a fiercely competitive and global environment. However, quickly going from raw data to meaningful results is a challenge. In fact, according to a survey conducted by National Instruments, data is the most difficult aspect of working with current software tools. According to engineers and scientists, working with data is more difficult than maintaining legacy code or programming a completely new data acquisition system. Now to be fair, working with data is a broad topic that encompasses many different aspects.

The medium is the message "The medium is the message" is a phrase coined by the Canadian communication thinker Marshall McLuhan and introduced in his Understanding Media: The Extensions of Man, published in 1964.[1] McLuhan proposes that a communication medium itself, not the messages it carries, should be the primary focus of study. He showed that artifacts as media affect any society by their characteristics, or content. McLuhan's theory[edit] McLuhan uses the term 'message' to signify content and character. The content of the medium is a message that can be easily grasped and the character of the medium is another message which can be easily overlooked. McLuhan says "Indeed, it is only too typical that the 'content' of any medium blinds us to the character of the medium."

STACK - correcteur (statique) de code instables Overview Optimization-unstable code (unstable code for short) is an emerging class of software bugs: code that is unexpectedly eliminated by compiler optimizations due to undefined behavior in the program. Unstable code is present in many systems, including the Linux kernel and the Postgres database server. The consequences of unstable code range from incorrect functionality to missing security checks. STACK is a static checker that detects unstable code in C/C++ programs.

Home During the lockdown I have really noticed how IB educators have been supporting each other and living the IB mission, not just through IB Educators Chat, but through various groups on Facebook, WhatsApp on Twitter. Supporting each other in this difficult time is definitely something we should be proud of and I am sure something which will impress our students. Serving others and taking action!
