I’ve gone through countless spray cans of different brands (Psst! , Tresemme, John Frieda, Garnier, Oscar Blandi, Batiste…to name a few), spending way too much for very little product. I started to use plain old baby powder, sprinkling it directly on my roots and rubbing it in, and I found that it worked just as well or even better at giving my hair added volume and combating greasiness. It looked like I had smeared a powdered doughnut all over my head. THE RECIPE: Mix 3 parts cocoa powder and 1 part cornstarch and/or baby powder in a small container. Because this container works so well, I just hold the container in my hand and sprinkle the powder directly onto my roots and rub it in with my fingers. Make-up Magnet Board. Arrow bracelet - #2 Friendship Bracelet Tutorial

For this bracelet you need to know both forward and backward knots. When you're doing the arrow bracelet, you need two strings of each colour. That means that when you're doing a bracelet from eight strings, you need four colours. You are working from both sides with two string of the same colour, which are then tied together in the middle to create a 'V' or an arrow. The strings should be the same length as while doing the striped bracelet (1 metre). Tie your strings in one knot on the top and fasten it on your safety pin. In the knots tutorial, it shows you how to make both forward and backward knots, which you should already know.

The working strings for the first 'V' or an arrow, is going to be blue. On the left hand side, make a forward knot over the pink string. On the right hand side, make a backward knot over the other pink string. You made your first 'V' or an arrow. TetraBox Light by Ed Chew. Liquid to Light Designer Ed Chew takes a green step in the right direction with the TetraBox lamp, a light object made from discarded drink packets that would have otherwise ended up in landfills already packed to the brim.

How To Mix Chalkboard Paint in Any Color

So we were super excited to learn that you can create your own custom colors-and it's really easy! We first learned how from Martha Stewart whose tutorial you can read here. She recommends that you use latex paint, but we tried it out with acrylic paints with much success. Here's how you too can create your own chalkboard paint... Supplies: 1/2 cup acrylic paint (choose any color you like, or mix colors together to make the perfect shade!) 1. 2. Once your chalkboard has fully dried be sure to slate the surface before using it for the first time. Have fun creating any color combination you like!! Easy Button Earrings Tutorial. Clip the top of the paperclip off with wire cutters: Snap off the button shanks: Glue the paperclip to the back of the button. Open the loop at the bottom of your earring hook by bending it outward and hook it onto your paper clip. And...pretty new earrings! Holder for Charging Cell Phone (made from lotion bottle) My husband and I both have cell phones. And both of us have phone chargers. And that means lots of obnoxious cords. You never know when one of us may be moving phone cords around, to give our phones an extra charge while we’re chatting away……… or trying to charge our phones up before running errands or something.

Needless to say, those phone cords seem to be everywhere…..and are generally in the way and hanging all over the floor. (Okay, and how about when you’re in a hotel or visiting family/friends. I was looking around on the internet for a solution and found this. It made the perfect little holder for my cell phone while it’s being charged. And no more phone hanging down from the outlet while in this room or that room……..the cord and phone are now up off the ground, and tucked away into the little holder, while the phone drinks up a full charge. And of course I couldn’t just leave the poor little holder alone……I had to Mod Podge some fabric right onto it for some kick.
