Think big band, tons of vets, surrounded by actual jets used in WWII, taking place in an actual airplane hangar…and everyone is dressed in 1940’s attire. OBVIOUSLY I MUST ATTEND THIS EVENT!!! I am beside myself with excitement, and have been researching 1940’s style for at least a month now. My husband and I are dancers, so I have learned that my style must incorporate a sense of ease so that we can dance the night away without worrying about my dress riding up, or being uncomfortable.

I love a quick sewing project that provides an opportunity to combine different fabrics and trims. I needed a couple of small gift bags for some upcoming birthdays. They were so much fun to make and a brilliant way to incorporate those treasured scraps and lace motifs into a project.
