This means that plants and animals are not only threatened by climate changes or natural evolutionary changes, but also by an ever-increasing range of human activities. Weather can be described as what is happening now – whether it is hot or cold, raining or dry, sunny or clouded over. It describes what is happening within the atmosphere. World Environments. It is critically important for children (and adults) to understand and appreciate their own (and others’) environments and an awareness of how we affect our environment should be encouraged.
This section offers activities to support the teaching of Literacy, Numeracy and Science through the theme of World Environments or as part of a wider environmental topic.
