Talking about one’s home, the things in it, and what it looks like is an important language skill. #throwoutthetextbook! These activities were once limited to the classroom teacher but have recently been adapted by our wonderful team for those of us online teachers! If you’re just perusing the free activities for now, use this one as a fun vocabulary and speaking exercise for any of your lessons connected to housing, furniture or something more thematic like minimalism. Barnkonventionen Barnkonventionen är bestämmelser om barns rättigheter. Barnkonventionen är ett kraftfullt verktyg i Rädda Barnens arbete för att barn ska få det bättre. Barnkonventionen är FN:s konvention om barns mänskliga rättigheter och antogs 20 november 1989 av FN:s generalförsamling. De stater som har anslutit sig till Barnkonventionen, har lovat att de ska använda alla resurser de har för att uppfylla den. Vad står det i Barnkonventionen? Barnkonventionens 54 artiklar slår fast att alla barn upp till 18 år har samma rättigheter. Så snart man gör något som på något sätt berör barn, ska man tänka efter vad som är bäst för det enskilda barnet. Barnets bästa och barns rätt till inflytande är två av grundprinciperna som genomsyrar hela Barnkonventionen. De andra två grundprinciperna handlar om att inget barn får diskrimineras och att varje barn har rätt till liv och utveckling. Enligt Barnkonventionen är det staten som är ytterst ansvarig för att se till att barn får sina rättigheter förverkligade.
