Two things I absolutely love about this project are: 1) It’s cheap as chips: I already had string in the cupboard and the brass hexnuts were 3p each from the hardware shop. 2) It’s my kind of jewellery: I’m not really a girly girl IYKWIM! The bracelet I made is a bit different to the ‘braided hex-nut bracelet’ and uses macrame instead, which is great, because I promised some tutorials a while back and felt a bit bad that I hadn’t written any yet! (If your curious, next week’s DIY will be another summer bracelet, too – the reason for this is that I’ve had several busy weeks topped off with weekend travel plans, and materials for bracelets travel incredibly well!) Last summer, the brilliant ladies of Honestly WTF slayed me with this fabulous wrap bracelet. Ball chain – what a brilliant idea! This bracelet uses three pieces of ball chain. While starting it is a bit tricky (I had to redo a few of mine,) perseverance pays off. What you’ll need: Colorful Waxed Linen (about 2.5 yards.)Ball Chain (about 15 inches, cut into three five inch pieces.)Scissors Begin the bracelet by cutting the waxed linen into six pieces. Take your six strands and divide them into three bundles of two.

When you finish braiding, separate the strands. Take two of your pieces of ball chain, and pinch them together with the four bottom strands. Wrap slowly and tightly. Leather wrap bracelet. Triple Ball Chain Bracelet. Chan Luu Single Wrap Macrame Bracelet. Chan Luu bracelets are just so cool!

What's great about them is that they use simple macrame techniques to produce different results, this time with the addition of beads! This tutorial adds on to my previous Square Knot Friendship Bracelets, but utilizes the beads in a different way; on the outside of the knots as opposed to the inside. What you get is a totally different result! Step 1: Gather materials. Needed are 3mm glass gemstone beads, cotton thread for knotting, scissors, tape, and a bead and crimp for closure. Step 2: Start the knots. Once you have a couple of square knots, take either side of the thread and add beads to these threads. Take two beads right up to the last knot. Make a square knot, making sure the beads are caught in the knot and lie right on either side of the center thread. Step 2: Continue this method. Once you have gotten one square knot set, continue to knot in this way, until your bracelet is as long as you need. DIY Wrap Bracelet.

The more, the better. In fact . . . the most, the best! With that being said, we’ll show you how to master a version of the ever so popular wrap bracelet. It’s so simple and addicting, you’ll soon be churning out these wristlets with your eyes closed. Clearly this arm party train isn’t stopping and it’s about time you get on board! You’ll need (for a double wrapped bracelet) :* Lengths will vary depending on the size of your wrist (see comments for suggestions). Fold the length of leather cording in half to form a loop. It has such a different look to it than the one I made this past weekend. It is amazing the different look and style you can create with the same basic pattern just by changing length of the bracelet and the type and size of the bead!
