Ape, not monkey
Jeff Swenson —the talented creator of www.freethunk.net —has posted an interview with me about Ape, not monkey. If you’re interested in some behind the scenes details, (or some curmudgenly rants) you can check it out here . The idea of burning books conjures up such ugly images of oppression and hate, but the environmentally friendly practice of turning paper to into pulp rarely leads to anger.I'm visiting Newport News, VA next week, where I'll be speaking at CNU, my old school. If you want to come, reserve a seat here !

MegaTokyo - relax, we understand j00
Just before we went to Ohayocon last month, Seraphim asked me to make her a hoodie with a QR code that led to the Megatokyo website. Not a bad idea, really - you’d have to scan it to find out what it was for. The only problem was, I didn’t put too much time into understanding how QR codes worked. To put it on a black background I inversed the QR code which, needless to say, didn’t work. You can imagine the level look I got from her at the convention when it was discovered that the QR code she was wearing was unreadable. Oops.Least I Could Do: the Comic » by Ryan Sohmer and Lar deSouza
As is the norm, the first 1000 books will be signed by Lar and myself and include a little extra something. It should also be noted that for a limited time, LICD volumes 1-5 will be available for 15.95 instead of 19.95. The books themselves will be shipping out late April. While I'm sure that after almost a decade of doing this you don't need to be reminded, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that those 1,000 books tend to move quite quickly. I'd advise against delay . "What you did was very spiteful, but it was also very brave and very honest and I respect you for doing that. This is Indexed
This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others. I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math. The phenomenon of Axe Cop is one that I've watched closely. I think it's a great comic and the process behind it is fascinating. For those not in the know, Axe Cop was started by a then 29-year old Ethan Nicolle wits stories and character ideas conceived by his then 5-year old brother, Malachai. It's the kind of surreal absurdity that could only come from a child and three years later it's still a damn fun read. Axe Cop to me illustrates one of the greatest things about making comics in the digital age: Anyone can do it.

Milholland .Thank you to everyone for the kind messages I've been receiving over the past week. It's really been amazing! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to respond to everyone individually, so I apologize for that.
