The goal of the Post-Partum Depression Quality Improvement Project is to support 10 to 15 pilot clinic sites throughout the state in developing a standard clinical protocol for implementing universal maternal depression screening at appropriate intervals during well child visits during the baby’s first year of life. The purpose of the initiative is to develop, test, and implement sustainable clinic models for incorporating maternal depression screening into pediatric well child visits in the first year of life for Medicaid enrolled children.
