During his three-week IVLP tour throughout the United States, Sara participated in meetings and activities to better understand the federal system of government and contemporary issues related to voting and elections while learning more about laws and initiatives focused on campaign and election oversight. The program exposed Sara to policies the U.S. Department of State supports globally for free and fair elections. He saw the mechanics of a statewide election and observed activities immediately before, during and following Election Day in the United States.

According to Mr Mataitawakilai , the program broadened his networks to 48 other countries, the U.S. campaign managers and politicians of both Democrats and Republicans from various States. Ho shared on Sunday a letter from the White House stating her selection in the said exchange program captioned: “Those once-in-a-lifetimes.” According to the official Instagram of the US Embassy in the Philippines, Ho will take part in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), specifically, the Edward R. Murrow Program for Journalists on Media Responsibility in an Age of Disinformation. In the program, she and other participants will “assess the impact of social media, citizen journalism, and alternative forms of reporting, and examine strategies that support responsible and ethical reporting in an increasingly complex information environment.”
