Music Despite being in the mainstream consciousness for over twenty years now, Hip-Hop is still largely thought to consist solely of idiotic, crude and often pointlessly violent lyrics that debase and malign the English language.
Although to be fair, that is still the majority of the Hip-Hop music being shoved down our throats by the big music labels and radio. However, there is an increasingly large presence of extremely intelligent Hip-Hop pushing the genre’s boundaries and transforming rap into academically and artistically viable poetry. NOTE: Judging intelligence is an extremely subjective matter and will always spark debate, however I did abide by some criteria when making my selections. Andre 3000 From OutKast One of the few rappers on this list you should already probably be aware of on this list, Andre 3000, rapper from the critically acclaimed and incredibly popular Hip-Hop Duo, “OutKast,” is one of the most well liked and respected rappers in the industry from non-fans.

No Special Effects—Just 12,000 Pieces of Laser-Cut Paper - Video. The new music video for Josh Ritter's "Love Is Making Its Way Back Home" is a gorgeous, handmade collage painstakingly assembled from thousands of paper silhouettes and brought to life through stop-motion animation.
A minimalist black and white universe blossoms into a psychedelic experience, saturated with the classic Crayola colors of kindergarten construction paper. With no special effects or digital enhancement, the video achieves an "oh wow! " effect with its amazing, labor-intensive intricacy. The video was produced by Prominent Figures, a collaboration between Erez Horovitz, the director, and Sam Cohen, an animator. Horovitz describes the making of the video in an interview below, and some behind-the-scenes photos reveal the process of layering the silhouettes (as well as crew members taking naps on the floor during the grueling shoot).
