Fue elaborada con la idea que sirviera de ejemplo de las técnicas del contrapunto; está formada por catorce fugas (la última quedó incompleta) y cuatro cánones, todos sustentados en el mismo tema en Re menor, aparentemente simple. Fue publicada sin indicación alguna de instrumentación ni su orden, lo que ha dado lugar a numerosas versiones.El contrapunto cultural y artístico que se busca en este blog es aquel que proponga mejores alternativas a las que usualmente se ofrecen.
