Kid tested, adult approved. These Paleo / SCD pumpkin pancakes are some of the best non-traditional ones I’ve tested yet. Very moist but not “eggy” if you know what I mean. They can be used as a cold snack and a great delivery method for nut butters. Yes, the pumpkin I used came from a can. Are you okay with that? http://scdlifestyle.com/category/specific-carbohydrate-diet-recipes/

Specific Carbohydrate Diet Recipes — SCD Lifestyle

http://www.chef-in-training.com/2012/08/50-slow-cooker-recipes/ I receive a lot of questions about me and my blog. I thought it would be fun to collectively gather some questions I have been asked so you can get to know me better and maybe find some of the stuff useful for you. Q: What made you start this blog? A: I have always loved to cook/bake and came from a mom who is an AMAZING cook. People were always asking for both mine and my mom's recipes, and instead of always emailing them out, I decided to start storing them on a blog so they were accessible to all my friends and family.

50 Slow Cooker Recipes

I love a good stir fry and they are a great way to use up odds and ends of meat, vegetable and noodles. And let’s face it, they are a quick and easy dinner solution. Simply cook up some rice or throw in some noodles and it’s a family-pleasing meal. I rarely start with a recipe – just a pile of odds and ends. So it occurred to me recently that what I really needed was a stir-fry sauce “cheat sheet” – a handy reference for the combination of sauce ingredients I need to make different kinds of stir fry to combine with my collection of ingredients. Here I’ve collected 15 great stir-fry sauce recipes that can be printed to keep handy in the kitchen (or bookmarked, if you prefer). http://www.fortysomething.ca/2012/05/15_basic_stir_fry_sauce_recipes.php

Sugar Crusted Chocolate Chip Muffins: - StumbleUpon

http://www.simplyscratch.com/2011/12/sugar-crusted-chocolate-chip-muffins.html After the holidays I have the hardest time falling back into the rhythm of my normal life. As I sit here looking around and the gift boxes, empty toy boxes and those dang twist-tie things ; and don’t even get me started on the holiday decorations that eventually need to be packed away, I’m feeling extremely disorganized and overwhelmed with it all. I have to work the next couple of days and New Year’s weekend at the hospital and I’m wondering when I’ll get to it all. In the same breath, didn’t I just put all this stuff up? I can tell ya with certainty that I’d rather curl up with these muffins, a cup of coffee and watch endless hours of The Cooking Channel than tackle the after math of Christmas. So with that said… who wants to come over and re-organize my life, or maybe just the cupboards?
O r Jell-O shots. Whichever way you call it, Edible Cocktails are quirky. From seeing them wiggle on the platter, tilting your head back and throwing one down, to licking the stickiness from your fingers, you will agree that these gel cocktails will bring smiles to your guests’ faces. But don’t let these childhood-like treats fool you, they have a bite and will sneak up on you if you have a few too many. http://www.bigredkitchen.com/2009/06/how-to-make-edible-cocktails/

Big Red Kitchen: How to Make Edible Cocktails

Last night, I decided to make one of my favorite cookies. These little pastry swirls are so delish! I usually use my favorite pie crust recipe, which I have previously posted, but I decided to try a pastry recipe by the Barefoot Contessa. This recipe calls for lots of butter! I used my 14-cup Cuisinart Food Processor (love it) to make the pastry dough. It's so easy in a food processor, so if you haven't invested in one, do so very soon!
