Andreas Nicolas Fischer e Diesel: #POSTroma. To celebrate the opening of the new flagship store in Rome – located just a few steps from Piazza di Spagna - Diesel choose the Berlin-based artist Andreas Nicolas Fischer to pay tribute to the Eternal City, in the most innovative way possible.

Andreas Nicolas Fischer e Diesel: #POSTroma

In collaboration with POSTmatter magazine and his colleague Abraham Pazos, Fischer created what might be called an abstract digital organism, host in an enclosed atrium that will serve as the gateway into the actual store. This organism will be first drawn from topographical data taken from maps of Rome while its growth and movements will be based upon the social-media stream of the very generic hashtag #Rome or #Roma. This way, the flux and evolution of the city will be brought into the space through Fischer’s animated visuals.

At the same time, the shape-shifting organism will also be accessible for participants around the world through social networks. People of 2morrow. People of 2morrow Opened November 2013.

Men's Fashion & Lifestyle Blog. During my trip to Canada I spent some time in Vancouver and I took the opportunity to visit Revolver coffee that I’d heard great things about even before I’d travelled out there.

Men's Fashion & Lifestyle Blog

This has to be one of my favourite coffee shops that I’ve ever visited, not only for the aesthetics but also for the quality of their coffee. Within the coffee shop itself they also have a connecting store called Archive; it stocks all of the coffee goodies you can imagine and I had to try extremely hard not to buy everything! George, one of the partners at Revolver was kind enough to. Men's Fashion & Lifestyle Blog. So on Wednesday I joined the menswear brand John Varvatos who are brand new to the UK which is extremely exciting!

Men's Fashion & Lifestyle Blog

The brand originated in America and focuses on old world craftsmanship and refined tailoring with a modern twist. They have just opened their first store in London on Conduit Street and if you’re ever in town, I would highly recommend checking it out. It’s amazingly curated with a blend of rock and roll music vibes whilst showcasing the latest pieces from the brand. It felt extremely personal and was such a great experience being in the store, I just wanted to hang out, chill and talk about style and music all afternoon. I also got the chance to hop on the #JVLondon Bus and head to Dean Street in Soho where we were giving out lots of John Varvatos goodies and getting people involved in the #PeaceRocks campaign, which is awesome! The custom-designed wall bed can be flipped up to create a small open space that the resident uses for yoga, and the blue-tiled, spa-like bath is separated from the bedroom by an ingenious, floor-to-ceiling short wall of shallow drawers.

In the living room, custom-built sofas can be arranged as either a single L-shaped unit or two separate short sofas opposite one another, or brought together to form a queen-sized guest bed. They, and the dining table (which can be hydraulically raised to a countertop height, for working), have hidden storage compartments underneath that are sized for wide, flat documents such as construction documents–we suspect that the occupant just might be an architect.

Spark Architects Propose Gorgeous Solar Orchid Floating Hawkers' Pods for Singapore Waterfront. Spark Architects have unveiled a stunning proposal for reconnecting Singapore with its waterfront and street food heritage. The Solar Orchid project is a mobile, reconfigurable and sustainable floating hawker center that could pop up in a variety of locations and formats. Each street food vendor would operate from a self-contained, solar-powered, lightweight floating pod. Although The Solar Orchid project is currently only a concept proposal, Spark Architects believes the project would complement the government’s recent initiative to develop floating solar islands in Singapore’s reservoirs. The design incorporates a protective, solar power generating canopy and multiple, solar-powered, floating pods, each of which houses a street food vendor. The Hoxton, Shoreditch.
