Jun 29 Not to sound full of myself, but I’m pretty sure this is the be all, end all of popsicle roundups. There’s a little something for everyone: the foodies, the purists, the ones who prefer frozen yogurt, the ones who prefer a little alcohol, everyone.
They are probably the best Oreo cakes I have ever tried. A lot of cake's that I have experimented with before are like a vanilla cake with bits of Oreo in them, which didn't really give them enough Oreo flavor. But these were a lot better. I used a dark chocolate fudge cake mix instead of just a regular chocolate cake mix, which went really well with the cookies and gave the cakes just a little more flavor. So, in this recipe there is Oreo's in the cake, in the frosting, and at the bottom is a Oreo surprise.
Now I don't want to over sell this, so I'm going to be conservative and simply say, that these are... The Best Brownies In The WORLD. I know, big statement. They're called Slutty Brownies because they're oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy. They're best served warm from the oven, with good quality vanilla ice cream (devastatingly I didn't have any in the freezer this time, so I guess I'll just have to make them again).
Step One: Bake Your Cake This one is pretty easy. Just bake your cake the way you usually would. You can use just a rectagular sheet pan because you'll be destroying the cake anyway once its done baking. It's really fun!
I recently got the Betty Crocker Cookies and Bars magazine and I’ve been relying on it every time I need a sweet something. I’ve found some real winners that I’ll share this week. Here’s the first:
Picture this scene: it’s 8:30 in the evening. The sky is just starting to get dark outside your living room window. You ate a delicious, healthy and veggie-filled dinner a few hours ago and now you are ready to sit down to the most recent episode of So You Think You Can Dance and dive into a decadent plate of dessert. Oh wait, you have no dessert. No chocolate, no cookies, no ice cream, no cake, no pie, not even a Jordan almond. What’s a girl to do?
Filed Under Desserts Ingredients Crust: 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 3 tablespoons granulated sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 3/4 cup flour 1 cup chocolate chips Cheesecake Filling: 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, room temperature 1/4 cup sugar 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla
Call me easily amused, but these little torch-topped cupcakes delight me. Besides being a cute novelty item for a party, I think they would add a little drama to the end of a romantic meal. I've been looking for something different to serve for Valentine's dessert, and this is definitely different. The strawberries are hollowed out and filled with a bit of liquor, then ignited with a match.
Happy Thursday! Hope everyone is enjoying summer. CA is always full of life in the summer, there’s always family visiting, beach trips and partying going on. I have a feeling it’s going to fly by and school will be back in session in no time. Better enjoy this while I can Wait until you try these individual cheesecakes!
Glazed Doughnut Muffins Have you ever found yourself choosing between a doughnut or a muffin to start your day? Well now you don’t have to choose!
Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 200 degrees.
Looks yummy, right? And let me tell you, this cinnamon bread really is yummy! Immensely! I am actually so impressed by it that I would call it a gift from heaven. Okay, maybe not exactly from heaven since the original recipe was born in Joy the Baker’s kitchen.

You're there, the can is there, there's a pumpkin on the label... open it and mix it up with spices to make a pie, right? Ah, but a pumpkin pie made from a fresh pumpkin tastes so much better than the glop that was processed last year!
