It’s brilliant! I can even reach that bowl of soaked oats with raisins, apple and crunchy peanut butter that stands there on the sofa table as a night snack. Okay, maybe not brilliant. This balancing act is pretty tricky actually. And I suspect that my left arm will starting to go numb soon. Homemade Amaranth Pecan Granola Bars - Heavenlynn Healthy. I made these for my upcoming mother-daughter trip to the States tomorrow as granola bars are the perfect healthy snack for traveling. I really cannot wait to spend some quality time with my mom, read lots of books and say hi to my second home again. It’s been too long. There’s gonna be lots of WholeFoods shopping, country music and Southern iced tea and biking along the Florida coast. But before I go, I’ve got this wonderful recipe to share with you. Have you ever had amaranth before? Other health benefits of amaranth include its high content of unsaturated fatty acids such as omega-3, which is important for a healthy heart as well as healthy and glowing skin.

Besides amaranth, these granola bars contain lots of other healthy ingredients such as oats, which are rich in fiber, nuts, coconut, hemp protein, bananas and cinnamon. Serves: 12. No-Bake Chewy Granola Bars (Nut-Free!) – Unsweetened Caroline. Is it really back to school next week already!?

But that would be inaccurate, as I believe that the island of Kauai was absolutely the realest place I’ve ever been. What do I mean by this? Well, I have never in my life been faced with more awe-inspiring nature, powerful energies, provocative weather, and life-challenging situations. It was the biggest dose of reality I could have gotten, anywhere. I think the thing that struck me as soon as we left the airport was how low-key the island seemed.

The first week of our trip, we were staying on the north side of the island, which during the winter and spring seasons receives a lot of rain. We eventually found ourselves on the western side of the island trying to find some dry land and sunshine. But this is beginning to sound a bit complain-y, while I was actually having a total blast.
