Tape trick-for perfect winged liner

Tape trick-for perfect winged liner
Happy Monday to ya….hope y’all had a fabulous weekend!!! A few posts ago, I made reference to something I call “the tape method” and I said that I would do a follow up showing how to do it. Well…it is super easy and I probably just could have easily explained it using my words–but who doesn’t like pictures to go with? Products Used: Tape and Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in “Blackest Black”. Step 1: Apply a piece of tape underneath the eye so that it is pointed towards the end of the brow. Step 2: Apply your gel liner to the upper lash line from the inner corner to the end of your eye….don’t worry if it is a little messy-we are just getting the base and will even it out later. Step 3: Remove the tape. and this: As I said, if your skin is a little sensitive for tape, use something with a flat edge like a business card to place your wing.

Natural eye makeup-5 min! Limited time in the mornings?-Then this is the tutorial for you so you can get out the door quickly!!! This is a no frills tutorial today because it’s not the color combinations that I wanted to show but the quick and easy technique that will also elongate your eyes. Because of this, I used basic natural colors…but you can use any colors you like to switch it up! Products Used: MAC Eyeshadows in “Shale”, “Malt” and “Swiss Chocolate”, Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in “Blackest Black” (optional), MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”, MAC Lipstick in “Pink Nouveau”, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in “Black Bean” You will also need a wide flat liner brush that looks like this: Conceal the entire lid up to the brow, all around the eye and all around the eye. Step 1: Using your big fluffy, apply “Shale” to the front half of the eyelid….then apply “Malt” to the rest of the lid and up..stopping at the brow bone. Step 2: Step 3: Step 4: Step 5: and this: I added some MAC “Pink Nouveau” as a final touch-Love this color!

Matching Eyeshadow to Eye Color You know the dilemma; you want to wear eyeshadow but you’re not sure what color will look best with your eye color. Even though some say that you should coordinate your eyeshadow with your clothing, you should also pay attention to your actual eye color as well. But not to worry, because help is here with a quick tips list on which eyeshadow hues will look the best on each eye color. Blue Eyes With blue eyes, you should stay far away from blue eyeshadow. Brown Eyes Brown eyes can get away with wearing almost any color of eyeshadow. Green/Hazel Eyes In order to get green eyes to pop, you should try wearing various purple shades. The Final Word Keep in mind that you should have fun with your eyeshadow and it shouldn't be a bothersome process.

A Splendid Assemblage: DIY Simple Summer Bracelet I received an email the other day from a lovely reader asking if I could make a tutorial on a very simple summer bracelet style that does not require a hundred knots or clasps and you can easily stack up. I am not a fan of doing macramé knots in the summer heat so this happens to be exactly what I have had on my wrists all summer :) - waxed cotton cords - crimp beads, tube beads or any beads of your choice - scissors Measure the cord around your wrist allowing for an extra 5-6cm and cut (the cord) using your scissors. Thread as many beads as you like on the cord. Once you have enough beads on it thread one last bead and cross the cord's ends through it. Tie a small knot on one end and slide the bracelet on your wrist. Pull the other end of the cord so that the bracelet fits nicely on your wrist and tie another knot. Trim any excess cord with your scissors and there you have it :) Make it in lots of different color and bead combinations and have fun stacking them up :) Hope you like it :) xoxo

566; Supernatural Collective Nouns. I went to lunch today at a new market-slash-sandwich place that just opened in my neighborhood. It was really good! The market (and neighborhood) is the type to offer fancy organic cold-pressed juice for eleven dollars and artisanal almond milk that comes in something that looks like baby food jars, so when I got this fork to eat my side salad with, at first I wasn’t sure if it was something exotic and fancy: This is either a manufacturing defect OR a bold step forward in forkery that the rest of us will have to catch up to pic.twitter.com/gFPA2aj6ZY— David Malki ! I used the strange fork to eat my salad and was pleased to find that it worked really well! I went up and asked the guy behind the counter if all his forks were like this, and he laughed and assured me they were not. I had the guy check the other forks. I went back to work with my head spinning. I began to search the patent records. REVOLVING SPAGHETTI FORK, Patent US2602996 A, 1952 Look at that thing. “a longfelt need”

Matching Eyeshadow to Skin Tone Photo: Goodshoot/Goodshoot/Getty Images Choices are usually a good thing, but when you are standing in front of an endless line of eye makeup options, all you want is the eyeshadow or shadows that look best on you. While some cosmetic manufacturers will have you match eye makeup to your eye or hair color, you also can find the right shade for you based on your skin color, regardless of whether you identify your skin as being warm or cool in tone. Finding the right hue for you can make your eyes pop just like they were meant to. Fair Skin If you have fair to peachy skin, you don’t want your eye makeup colors to make you look like a clown. Medium-to-Fair Skin If your skin is slightly darker than fair or your self-tanner is fading to a medium skin tone, you can go a little darker with the colors you select. Medium-to-Dark Skin If your skin tone tends to be warmer, try a coppery brown shadow that can brighten your eyes and accentuate your skin tone. Dark and Olive Skin Tones
