The promised tutorial Here it is! This is another of my tutorials for knits, for which you need to use an existing fitted t-shirt pattern as a base. I think most people will have one or more of those in pattern stash, and if you don't, you can always go and get Burdastyle's Lydia. I'm using my knit sloper, which has more waist shaping than Lydia. As ever, I recommend using a tried and tested pattern as a start for alteration. Time to Think Time. It’s an ever-dwindling, oh-so-valuable commodity. We all want more of it: Time to tackle the big questions or to finally start that dream project; time to learn a new skill or perfect an existing one; more time to spend with the people we care about most.

Fresh Off the Bolt: The Bella Dress: Free PDF Pattern and Tutorial Yeppers- I actually finished cleaning up my Bella dress pattern last night so that I could share it with you today! I originally hand-drafted the pattern when I first made it but I would've been too embarrassed to share that ugly mess with you so I worked for a few hours on Illustrator to get it all prettified for all you sewing enthusiasts! This is my first pattern I'm offering for free and it's made to my daughter's specific measurements. She's a small 4T with a 19" waist. The finished waist on the dress measures approximately 22" for a comfortable but not too loose fit on her. Pleated Structures - Basic pleating patterns Basic pleating patterns Use of flat sheets of material can have some advantages in terms of cost and simplified construction. Origami enthusiasts have traditionally studied what is possible with flat sheets of material. However, rather curiously seem to have left even some of the basic corrugated patterns relatively unexplored. Here are some of the fundamental patterns which can be created by folding a flat sheet of paper:

DIY Braided Bead Bracelet - Honestly WTF It’s been awhile since our last bracelet DIY. I don’t know about you, but our wrists have been begging for another colorful addition for months now. So after playing with some materials that were already on hand, we’ve created a tutorial for a braided bead bracelet, which is a not so distant cousin of the hex nut and wrap bracelet. Because honestly, you can never have too many . . . 3D paper diamonds Hello there. Hope you all had a great Easter! We had a lovely relaxing holiday (….well as relaxing as it gets with kids).
