Like stage sets, they make each page a little world. Rules of war. Introduce young people to the rules of war.
Armed conflict will always involve casualties and loss. The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement works to minimise the harmful effects of conflict by raising awareness of international laws governing what is and is not allowed in armed conflict. These laws are based on the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and other international treaties. They form the basis of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) or the ‘rules of war’ as they are sometimes more simply known. Pick and choose from our rules of war resources to create thought-provoking sessions in which young people can explore core humanitarian principles and how they can be applied situations of armed conflict.

" The ENABLE approach to eliminating bullying - SWGfL Magazine.
Bullying has been a behavioural focus for many schools across the UK and Europe for the last two decades; it represents the crystallisation of how aggressive negative behaviour impacts on the safety and well-being of children and young people and there have been a plethora of anti-bullying interventions developed over that course of history.
Whilst there have been a range of local gains around these interventions, the incidence of aggressive behaviour in the 11-16 age group hasn’t shifted significantly across the whole landscape. In some independent studies, there are suggestions that the incidence of these behaviours is rising, particularly those associated with online technologies. The recent Ditch the Label UK Annual Bullying survey found that 1 in 2 young people have at some point experienced bullying, with 1 in 4 being bullied at least once within the past year. Education: Routledge Education December Author of the Month: Julie Cigman. 1) What motivated you to write Getting Boys Up and Running in the Early Years?
I find it shocking that any child is excluded from school in the Early Years, and particularly shocking that the large majority of excluded children are boys. I have observed boys who manage to survive the first years of school, but who aren’t ready to be squeezed into a ‘one size fits all’ education system at the age of three or four. These boys behave in a way that becomes problematic within an assessment-driven system.
Boys who struggle to hold a pencil and form letters and numbers, or find it hard to sit still in an adult-led activity are labelled as ‘less able’ and develop a poor image of themselves as learners. When this happens, the system is failing to take children’s developmental needs into account. Generation Green. Understanding Bullying: From School to the Workplace FreeBook. Downloader Login. Plagiarism in high places. There has been an interesting discussion on the North American information literacy discussion list about how and whether Melania Trump's apparent plagiarism can be used in information literacy education. It has been pointed out that it can also be used to raise discussion of issues such as ghostwriting, and also differing types and degrees of plagiarism. To me, it seems particularly problematic to plagiarise something which is supposed to be about how you feel, but I'm probably just politically naive. Reference: Brian Martin. (2008, 31 October).
