Gerd Arntz Web Archive. 12 Things They Don't Teach You In School About Being A Designer. My wife Andy and I started Paper Leaf in 2009.
We were not bad at design (I think we’re pretty damn good now), but we were really green at business. In some ways, our naivety was a bit of a blessing; had we known what we know now, we probably would have talked ourselves out of starting the business. And that would have been a mistake—we love what we get to do. Regardless, there are a number of blunt realities we faced (and still do face) and things we’ve learned in running Paper Leaf that we either never anticipated, or never really bought in to if we read it elsewhere. Here are some of the big ones. 1. If you want to be a designer, you don’t want to start a design business. I’m fine with that—I love the business side of design—but if you want to be producing design work the majority of the time, you should realize that starting an agency might take you down a different path. 2.

"The future is now" The future is now, is my university degree project.Theme: the Demographic change in 2050.
How 1/3 of the people will be over 65. Topics I work with: Ignorance. the people don't think about that. The future as something difficult to imagine. And two generations of users: 25 years old (that will be 65 in 2050) and old people who have 65 years old today. Can we create a space for dialogue where these two generations connect? Using the field of Co-creation I made a workshop following the instructions done by Elisabeth Sanders and her case studies.

Isidro Ferrer: el sentido común y el color azul. Auto-retrato, 2002.
Kenya Hara, Yoshitaka Mizutani. 2017 Started in 1983, Hiroshima Appeals is a yearly poster project in observation of the atomic bombing of Japan in 1945 with the goal of promoting peace at home and abroad. Designer Kenya Hara writes: “This is an illustration drawn from the perspective of looking up from below a mushroom cloud. The embodiment of the worst evil in human history explodes just overhead of the people of Hiroshima and of Japan.
