Very Vanilla Valentine's Cheesecake | Independent Watkins Assoc #393833 - Jan Couto. Love at first bite. SUCH an overworked expression, but still… when you’re talking cheesecake, the tiniest bite is capable of sending you into paroxysms of ardor. The richness of the cream cheese! The delightful interplay of tangy and sweet; the barely crunchy crust cradling its ultra-smooth filling… Be still, my heart! There’s one problem with a traditional cheesecake, though; it’s REALLY hard to serve it in really small pieces. Take that same luscious cheesecake, though, bake it in a square pan, and all of a sudden it’s easy to have, literally, “just a tiny bite.” A 1” x 1” cube of cheesecake? Before you start: you’ll want to have 16 ounces (two large packages) of cream cheese at room temperature; so give yourself a couple of hours for this to happen. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

First, the crust. 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs, about 8 whole crackers 4 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 5 tablespoons melted butter Can you use a 9” square pan? Get your cook on. EDDIE ROSS - Pink Ombre Cake. Here's a cake sure to sweeten up the Valentines in your life. Pick up three boxes of your favorite white cake mix—or work from scratch if you have the time—along with a bottle of Wilton's Icing Color in petal pink. Split each box into two batches for a total of six, then add increasing amounts of dye little by little until you achieve the ombre effect. For the outside of the cake, I used a piping bag fit with a basketweave tip.

Happy baking, everyone! Chocolate Chip Lava Cookies. I am so in love with these darn chocolate lava cookies! What is it about a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie stuffed with decadent, rich, melted chocolate that makes it so irresistible?? Especially when topped with vanilla ice cream. These are one of Kev’s favorite homemade treats, and he usually asks me to make them at least once a week. They are so simple to whip up, and such a treat! All you really need for these fabulous cookies is your favorite cookie dough and a bag of chocolate chips. Since these cookies are absolutely gushing with delicious rich chocolate, my favorite chocolate chips for this recipe are the Hersey’s Milk Chocolate chips. Now let’s make some chocolate lava cookies! Place the flattened cookie dough in the bottom of a well-greased standard sized muffin tin.

Now for our gooey, rich milk chocolate filling. Lay the Ziploc bag flat in the microwave, spreading out the chocolate chips in a single layer. Cut a small tip off the Ziploc bag and layer over the cookies. 1. Deliciously Organic — Simple Dishes, Vibrant Flavors Everyone Will Love. Chicken Tomatillo Soup. Chicken Tomatillo Soup We have been crazy for soups all month. This soup is one I created about 5 years ago, just when I was starting to experiment more with Hispanic flavors. It’s close to a white chili, but a bit different. It’s full of tomatillos, white beans and lots of chicken. It’s seasoned with green chilies and smoky cumin, then it’s finished with lots of freshly chopped cilantro. It’s a really nice soup everyone will love. My family adores this soup, especially my young son, even though it’s a little on the spicy side. This soup was also featured on Tablespoon.com, along with 3 more amazing soup recipes I will be sharing very soon!

And it’s among the easiest — just a couple of ingredients, very little effort, and the best, chocolate-y, most decadent result. If you’re not familiar with nutella, check in the grocery store where you find the peanut butter — you’ll probably find it. And when you do, take the jar, bring it home (pay for it first), spread a tablespoon or two on a piece of bread, and taste.

Swoon. Repeat. Then make this ice cream. Nutella is, quite frankly, one of the best culinary creations out there — a mixture of chocolate and hazelnuts that almost defies words. It was the inspiration behind my flourless chocolate hazelnut cake, and now this. Nutella Ice Cream INGREDIENTS 1/3 cup nutella 1/3 cup sugar 1/2 cup heavy cream 1 cup milk 1 tbsp vodka DIRECTIONS Beat together the nutella, sugar, heavy cream, milk and vodka until blended evenly.

Makes about 2 cups. Kit Kat Bars Recipe. These homemade kit kat bars are supposed to taste like the popular candy bar of the same name. They do have the nice chocolatey crunch of a Kit Kat candy bar, but these bars have more of a salty-sweet flavor than the candy bar. The kids tell me they like the taste of these bars even better. Don't Miss: Brownies and Bar Cookies Prep Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 15 minutes Yield: 36-48 kit kat bars Ingredients: 60 buttery crackers, such as Keebler Club Crackers3/4 cup butter3/4 cup granulated sugar3/4 cup firmly-packed brown sugar1/3 cup milk1-1/2 cups crushed graham crackers2 cups semisweet chocolate chips1/2 cup peanut butter Preparation: Butter a 9 x 13 baking dish. Don't Miss: Healthy Kit Kat Bars Recipe. Death By Oreo Cupcakes. They are probably the best Oreo cakes I have ever tried.

A lot of cake's that I have experimented with before are like a vanilla cake with bits of Oreo in them, which didn't really give them enough Oreo flavor. But these were a lot better. I used a dark chocolate fudge cake mix instead of just a regular chocolate cake mix, which went really well with the cookies and gave the cakes just a little more flavor. So, in this recipe there is Oreo's in the cake, in the frosting, and at the bottom is a Oreo surprise. That's right, you put a whole Oreo at the bottom of the cake. The cookie stays firm, which makes it a little interesting to eat against the soft cake, but it actually gave a really yummy crunch.

Overall this is an amazing cake. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and cream cheese. Foodsnots.com. Oreo and Peanut Butter Brownie Cakes. Our long time friends we trick or treat with every year were all characters from Harry Potter as well. There was a Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Ginny Weasly and Hedgwig in addition to my Hermione. Www.menshealth.com/mhlists/healthy-food-combinations/printer.php. Who came up with the idea that we are supposed to drink orange juice at breakfast? And why, if oatmeal is so good for us, do we eat that only in the morning as well? Apologies to the Palinites, but nutritionists are starting to realize that you and I like our oatmeal and OJ before we start the day because we evolved to like it that way—because enjoying the two together is healthier than eating each of them alone. Epidemiologist David R. Jacobs, Ph.D., of the University of Minnesota calls it food synergy, and he, along with many other nutritionists, believes it might explain why Italians drizzle cold-pressed olive oil over tomatoes and why the Japanese pair raw fish with soybeans.

"The complexity of food combinations is fascinating because it's tested in a way we can't test drugs: by evolution," says Jacobs. And, he adds, "it's tested in the most complex of systems: life. Clean a toilet-drop in two Alka-Seltzer tablets, wait twenty minutes, brush, and flush. Vanilla Sugar Body Scrub - freutcake. For years I worked as the manager of a day spa here in California, and while it was quite the stressful job, there were many obvious benefits that came with it! Now a days I dream of the luxuries of body scrubs, facials and waxing. Oh, how the grass is always greener! That being said, all the benefits (and silky smooth skin) in the world won’t compare to working at a job I love. And I LOVE being a designer. I feel so fortunate to run my own business with the chance to be creative every day. But since life needs balance, and silky smooth skin; I mix up a batch of this Vanilla Olive Oil Sugar Scrub from time to time. {photos by Freutcake} Vanilla Olive Oil Sugar Scrub 1/2 cup granulated (white) sugar 2 cups Turbinado sugar (sugar in the raw) 1 Tablespoon honey 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 1 Tablespoon Vanilla extract (or your favorite essential oil) Directions: Combine the two sugars in a bowl and mix to incorporate.
