The John Templeton Foundation. What is the best way to live?

The John Templeton Foundation

How large is God? How are finite beings related to the infinite? What was God's purpose in creating the universe? How can we be helpful? These ageless questions can inspire people today just as they have inspired people throughout the ages, linking the human soul to philosophy and to the love of wisdom. Purpose The Templeton Prize honors a living person who has made an exceptional contribution to affirming life's spiritual dimension, whether through insight, discovery, or practical works.

Men and women of any creed, profession, or national origin may be nominated for the Templeton Prize. What these remarkable people have shared is a commitment to exploring one or more of the Big Questions at the core of the John Templeton Foundation's mandate. Criteria The qualities sought in a Templeton Prize nominee include creativity and innovation, rigor and impact. James T. Clemente - Criminal Minds Wiki. James T.

My research focuses on the “food system” (55% of my appointment). The food system involves all of the steps required to produce food and get it to our plates–from farming and processing to distribution and consumption. My work is unified by three main questions, (1) what changes are occurring? (2) what are the impacts of these changes on communities? (3) what can communities do to respond positively to these changes? These questions drive two main projects, (1) characterizing consolidation in food and beverage industries, and (2) bridging information gaps between producers and consumers through ecolabels. Margie Profet

"Margie" Profet (born August 7, 1958) is an American evolutionary biologist with no formal biology training who created a decade-long controversy when she published her findings on the role of Darwinian evolution in menstruation,[1] allergies[2] and morning sickness.[3][4] She argued that these three processes had evolved to eliminate pathogens, carcinogens and other toxins from the body. Detractors argued that little to no experimental evidence supported Profet's reasoning.[5] But supporters—including U.C. Santa Barbara anthropologist Donald Symons and U.C. Berkeley toxicologist Bruce Ames—considered her work a pioneering analysis of evolutionary theory in a never-before-studied, everyday context.
