This company was founded by David Sibbet in 1977 and is the birthplace of organized visual thinking systems. Below is a sample of some of The Grove’s tools that I often use with clients in a strategic visioning process. When we work together, I will customize the tools and content to your objective. We will collaborate to create the best visual thinking session possible for your team. These tools are available in a range of sizes, of course, including the over sized 4′ x 8′ posters, and even in digital format for web meetings. History. One night in the summer of 2009 a group of entrepreneurs and educators sat together on a boat in Rotterdam.
Their wish was to combine years of experience and experiment in creating the best possible education. Pieter Spinder took the lead as our fire-starter. His contagious vision on education, an education built on love, action, and leadership spread. Friends joined him and everybody contributed from their expertise: companies, students, teachers, and coaches. In a series of network meetings the colors and flavors of a new one-year education was born. That night on the boat the platform ‘Knowmads’ was born. After two months the first assignment came in: KLM had a challenge that they wanted the students to work on.

As a part of the camps Kick-off, we will form project-teams using 3 different type-profiles, along with a team building exercise. User Through the user stage, the students will have to go into the field in order to research the problem area chosen for the camp, and observe the users involved in this situation. The purpose is to get a good understanding of the actual problem, and the surroundings in which this arises, before working on an actual solution. Technology The purpose of the technology stage is, to collect information about a wide range of technologies which can be interesting i connection to the camps problem area, in order to get to know the full potential of these technologies when developing solutions.

The d.school’s K-12 Lab team is abuzz with learnings from the recent DT2Schools Workshop.
The workshop brought together teachers and administrators from 8 different schools, including two teachers from the Lab’s international partner Riverside School who came all the way from India. In addition to schools, representatives from Teach for America’s curriculum design team also attended. Teachers were immersed in design thinking with two cycles through our design process.
