And since I make north of 100 gingerbread houses each year, I need to start early. 2 C granulated white sugar 1 C plus 2T brown sugar 1 C solid shortening (like Crisco) 4 eggs 3 T molasses 1 1/2 t salt 2 t baking soda 1 T ginger 1 T cinnamon 6 C flour In a heavy duty stand mixer, combine shortening and sugars. You can also use the same technique to create ornaments for your tree. You may use any symmetrical shape to make it.
