Le trafic régulier entre Nice et Monaco s'effectue dans l'espace aérien de Nice et est soumis à des contraintes de trajectoires afin de le rendre compatible avec le trafic avion. En dehors de cet espace, les trajectoires sont libres. L'aéroport de Nice est la première plate-forme hélicoptères d'Europe. Il accueille une hélistation de 14 plots. L'essentiel du trafic est effectué sur la ligne aérienne régulière Nice - Monaco, le reste sur Cannes, Saint-Tropez et de nombreuses hélisurfaces privées.
