In this stage extensive work was undertaken to identify and understand the expectations of Endesa's main stakeholder groups regarding the company's commitments in the area of sustainability. This first attempt to draw up a map of stakeholders involved the following steps: Analysis of pre-positioning of Endesa in sustainability. Detailed studies of DJSI, Storebrand, EIRIS and SiRi rankings, and general surveys such as press reports and positioning in advertising campaigns. In-depth interviews with opinion makers including experts in sustainable development and journalists specialising in sustainability issues. Description Following or during a Stakeholder Analysis process, it is often useful to categorize the various stakeholders by drawing further pictures of what the stakeholder groups are, which interests they represent, the amount of power they possess, whether they represent inhibiting or supporting factors for the organization to realize its objectives, or methods in which they should be dealt with. Stakeholder Mapping is the process of creating such pictures to clarify the position of the stakeholders of the organization. Amongst the generic methods that can be used to analyze stakeholders are: Internal / External Stakeholder Analysis, Primary / Secondary Stakeholder Analysis, Force Field Analysis, SWOT Analysis and Actor Influence Diagrams.

Actor Influence Diagrams help to picture the formal and, more importantly, informal relationships that exist: the networks. Below you can find some more, specialized stakeholder mapping methods. How time flies! Each month we have to submit a monthly report that is approved by our host organization to the CGC. Well, tomorrow my monthly report for May is due, but we also had two other "assignments" that are to be submitted part of the report this month. One is a year-long timeline that outlines our goals and tasks with Zeus, other CGA/NOC projects, sustainability (referring to our capacity building), and personal goals. Second is a stakeholder map. Each CSO's timeline is varied as our goals for Zeus can be quite different.
