I put said theory to sleep after reading an article in the New York Times titled, “What’s So Wrong About a Boy Who Wants to Wear a Dress?” I wondered why it registered so universally alarming for a boy to want to wear a dress and yet not much at all for a girl to want to wear pants. Can you tell us about your product, The Photographer's Pouch? Hi! The Photographer’s Pouch is a small felt pouch measuring 9 x 15cm with a Velcro back that allows it to stick inside of most camera bags. How did you come up with this idea? I first came up with the Photographer’s Pouch through frustration with my camera bag. Why did you choose to use felt as the material? I chose smooth felt because I wanted something that would be soft enough to protect lenses, filters, and cameras from scratches but that would be less prone to sticking to Velcro.

Here is Dad’s story: We had just finished up a family reunion in California and decided to do some family pictures on the final day. Before this photo was taken, we had just spent time getting about 18 people (many of whom were kids) to pose for a large family picture. Those with young ‘uns can attest that sitting still and smiling for the camera are like torture to a 4 year old, so by the time we had finished with the large family we had used up all of my 4 year old’s good graces and he was in a sour mood.
So we attempt to take pictures of just our family and things are going south quickly. Both kids are crying and we are pulling our hair out trying to get one good picture because we’re a happy family dangit and we’re all in coordinating colors that have been meticulously chosen and fretted over. First couple of shots go fine. I watch my son gracefully do a full backwards layout and land flat on his back in the sand.
