Derelict_electronics [RYAN JORDAN] In a very poor condition as a result of disuse and neglect The digital holocaust has occurred and all electronic devices have ceased to function.

The dark Earth opens its sulfide veins allowing for the human extraction of its metallurgic blood. Chalcopyrite, Malachite, and Germanium spew forth, harvested and returned to the alchemists. Divided into occult movements of the future politics of the dark Earth they are crudely processed into communication devices aiding with retro-death-telegraphy and hylozoistic neural computation. I've attended... QUB Electronic Arts Research Society: Circuit Bending Workshop & Open Jack Event - 12th March. QUB Electronic Arts Research Society: BUILD. A series of free hands-on workshops as part of UNDERCONSTRUCTION, a collaborative exhibition taking place at Catalyst Arts throughout April.

QUB Electronic Arts Research Society: BUILD

Learn to build and bend circuits, make an instrument from your laptop and take part in a public performance at QUB's Sonorities Festival. Saturday 6th April 10am – 5pm, Free Develop your own playable musical device with circuit bender and instrument builder Barry Cullen. Sunday 14th April 10am – 5pm, Free Explore programming as musical performance using networked laptops with Graham Booth. Benjamin Gaulon aka (я)

During this Master class participants will become familiar with basic hardware and software design while at the same time gaining hands-on experience making interactive art projects, digital art performances, installations, interactive events using moving images and sound.

Parts kits with PCB, all components and detailed instructions are sold from time to time. As of October 2010, kits have changed very slightly to V.3.1 status and all kits for sale (ie. outside of workshop events) are now labeled PRO and feature the nice mini-pots as found on the Weevil designs. The WOM is a compact one-board-synth featuring 3 oscillators (with pitch dials, plus range and sync switches), 3 channel mixer / drive / tone section, power starvation (stable or instable switchable) 1/4" jack out or onboard mini-amp, 9 dials, 8 switchs, 11 body contacts and 9v battery operation. Nicolas Collins: Hacking Workshops. Since 2004 I've presented dozens of hands-on workshops in Hardware Hacking all over the world.

Nicolas Collins: Hacking Workshops

Assuming no technical background whatsoever, these workshops guide the participants through a series of sound-producing electronic construction projects, from making simple contact microphones, through "bending" toys, to making oscillators and other circuits from scratch. The curriculum is drawn from my book, Handmade Electronic Music -- The Art of Hardware Hacking. We usually end with a public performance/installation by the participants. The workshop can be as short as an hour, or run as long as five 8-hour days. The topics covered include: Dirty Electronics.

Neanderthal Electronics. Neanderthal Electronics workshop, Tartu Estonia from macumbista.

Neanderthal Electronics

More than 40,000 years ago, our Neanderthal predecessors invented the first music instruments from simple objects around them (bones and stones, sticks and skins…), without reference to any existing music history, and primarily for their own pleasure rather than that of others. Nowadays, we use complex audio hardware and software which make it “easier” to make music, so long as we channel our creativity into such socially acceptable avenues as Western Classical or Minimal Techno. Workshops. Electro Squeak Club. Experimental Instrument building workshops for children from 5 to 12.

What is a battery? How does electric light work? Can you connect electronics yourself? Come and make electronic jewelry out of everyday things. Where will you wear your circuit? Amber’09 will be the largest event in the field of Arts and Technology to be held in Turkey. Kristina Andersen works with electronics and games to create unusual objects and experiences, which she likes to test on children first. CEO - with a little bit of Bend-O-Rama. , we are positioning ourselves in both a theoretical and real state. We wish to start from the beginning, to ask; what is music? The aim of this project is not necessarily find an answer or solution to these questions, but to explore ideas in an open and encouraging manner, to allow any numbers of possible outcomes, most importantly the interests of the expressions of those who participate. Workshop: The workshop focused on several structures sessions of individual and group activity and interaction. Sounds:
