How to Grow Your Hair - hiphopsideproject
When I was little, maybe 5 years old, my mum took me to the hair dressers and told them to give me what can only be described as a boy haircut. I’ve been scarred ever since. So I’ve been trying to grow my hair long for years now, I usually wuss out and end up getting a big chunk chopped off (never to the extent of the boy haircut that was surreptitiously thrust upon me!). This time I’m determined to have shiny mermaid length hair!! Over the past 6 or so months I think I’ve added about 5-6inches of hair, and that’s with a few trims in between. For me that’s a good growth rate, I reckon it was about 3inches every 6 months before! Use a good shampoo/conditioner to keep your hair in tip-top condition. How you wash your hair is also important. Use shampoo on the roots only and give yourself a root massage as you apply it to stimulate hair follicles, washing it out through the rest of your hair will clean that part without drying the ends. Lay off the heat styling.

Smoky Eye Guide | The Untrendy Girl | A Beauty Guide with Heart The smoky eye is sultry. It’s alluring. It’s enigmatic. Think ‘smoke’ – it’s dark and mysterious. There are no hard lines and it blends into nothingness. Okay – I’m being a bit dramatic. *Use the red highlights to show you where to apply makeup. Step 1 – Prep Apply eye cream. Step 2 – Conceal Use your finger or a synthetic concealer brush to apply concealer around the eye. Blend in a gentle patting motion. Step 3 – Create barrier Pat a generous amount of loose translucent powder under the eyes. Step 4 – Neutral Lid Color Using an all-over lid brush, apply a neutral color (think vanillas, butterscotch, bisque and champagnes) from lash line to brow bone. Head Scarf Tutorial After many requests, I finally made a tutorial on how to tie a simple head scarf. It's really, really easy. I did this without looking in the mirror, so that should tell you how easy it is. Let's get started! Start with a large, square scarf. Fold one corner to the other to form a triangle. Fold the corner down to about the middle, and then fold over again (but not all the way to the edge, because you want it to be a little thicker). Put the scarf around your head with the ends in the front, making sure the wrong side of the scarf (the part where you can see the folds) is against your head. Tie it in a loose knot at the front. Tuck the ends behind/underneath the scarf. Done!

Nail Polish Bobby Pins I saw this tutorial on Pinterest from Pink Lemonade and I knew I had to make some myself. I also love how she gave an old simple necklace a makeover with a little colorful nail polish. I lined up bobby pins along a piece of card stock. I then painted them with different shades of colorful nail polish. What have you decorated with nail polish?

5 Natural Ways to Remove Blackheads You know how, if your pants fall down just a little tiny bit when you’re leaning over and a millimeter of your crack shows? A MILLIMETER? Everyone can see that. Everyone sees it. Even the men in the space station. Blackheads are not like that. Still, they’re annoying. Let’s make that happen. Blackheads are just pimples that don’t have skin over them. All you have to do is clean out your pores, and the blackheads are gone. If you’re prone to blackheads, I have some good and bad news for you. The good news is, people with oily skin and large pores don’t wrinkle as quickly (because our skin is VERY good at replenishing the oils). 1. There are so many things you can use to exfoliate and remove blackheads with. Right now. My favorite is: Especially for oily skin and getting rid of blackheads. You could also use: Baking soda and water, lemon juice and sugar, or salt and sour cream. How you do it: Simply combine your “scrubby” ingredient with your liquid/wet ingredient until you have a thin paste.
