Circular Crocheted Shrug You will require 2 or 3 skeins of sock wool for a light summer shrug, depending on your size and the coverage you want for your shrug; or the equivalent yardage in worsted or chunky for a winter shrug. I recommend making the summer shrug first so you can track your yardage as you go. Measure the fullest point of the bust, add 2”, and divide in half (this give you X”). With a 4.5 mm hook, chain 10 and join to make a ring.

Next row [WS]: Knit across 3 sts, turn work 90 degrees and pick up and knit 5 sts, turn work 90 degrees and pick up and knit 3 sts. 11 sts. Note: It is easier if you use the left needle tip needle to pick up the sts from the tab and then knit them off. Garter Section 1 Row 1 [RS]: K3, M1L, k1, M1R, pm, k3, pm, M1L, k1, M1R, k3. 15 sts. Row 2 [WS]: K to m, sm, p1 tbl, k1, p1 tbl, k to end.
