Talking Crochet ...Colorful Carryall Colorful Carryall Designed by Delores Spagnuolo You have a case for makeup and a case for money and credit cards. Now you can have a case for crochet hooks, too. Attic24 Every time I look at this yarn rainbow the very sight of it makes me soooooooo happy!!! Isn't happy colour a wonderful, wonderful thing? I think so, I really do, I feel like I can gaze at these colours and absorb all the vibrant, happy brightness into my soul and feel the warmth radiating. Simple pleasures..... Springtime Wreath This is my design for a little Springtime Crocheted Wreath. The pattern/tutorial that I'm writing out here is for the circular green part of the wreath, and the general putting together of the whole thing :: you can use whatever flowers you like to adorn it with (the flowers I've used here are my Little Picot Flowers, pattern found here). I've hooked my wreath on a 4mm hook, using Rowan handknit DK cotton. The wreath measures approx 15 cm/6 inches across. I'm using UK crochet terms, as follows :: sl st (slip stitch) :: insert hook, yarn over, pull the loop back through the stitch, then through the loop on your hook.

Flannel Receiving Blankets I'm starting to think that there is something in the water. Friends, left and right, are turning up pregnant. Thrilled with the good news, I've become a receivin'-blanket-makin' machine. No sooner am I done with one, then I am on to the next. With each blanket I find myself guessing baby names, picturing my friends in the role of 'Mom' and imagining the nervous excitement of the dads-to-be.
Petite Purls Blog Today I will tell you about our sponsors from the Marketplace: Three Fates Yarn and Pollika. Three Fates Yarn is owned and operated by Stephania Fregosi, who happens to be an old friend of mine from college! She offers hand-dyed, hand-painted and kettle-dyed sock yarns and fiber for knitters, crocheters and other crafters. Her colors are vibrant and she offers many different weights of yarn. Crochet Hobo Bag I saw this bag and it totally drove me crazy! For days! Can you imagine? As alluring as it could be, I had to restrain myself from placing another order to Knitpicks. They have some really wonderful wool yarns that are so soft and easy to crochet. I placed my first and only order of Wool of the Andes chunky and was very delighted at the quality as well as the price.
Whit's Knits: Rochefort Chapeau Navy and white stripes are beautifully clean and classic. And for me, they also evoke a sweet nostalgia for some make-believe time of innocence when people spontaneously danced together in the street. Think Gene Kelly in The Young Girls of Rochefort, happy people twirling around a French seaside town looking for love. So flirty and jaunty! I wanted to bring some of these associations to a cute little hat for spring. Link Necklace with Martha Stewart Jewelry This post is sponsored by Martha Stewart Crafts Jewelry by Plaid. All opinions are my own. When I came home one day and found a brown box on my doorstep, my first reaction was “Huh? What did I buy on Amazon THIS time?” and then “Huh? What did Drew buy on Amazon THIS time?”.
