Reality Check: Is Our Universe Real? Perhaps our human senses are deceiving us — maybe existence is an illusion, and reality isn't real.
The idea that everything we know is merely a construction of our minds is investigated in the next episode of the Science Channel program "Through the Wormhole," hosted by Morgan Freeman. The episode premieres Wednesday (July 17) at 10 p.m. Cosmologist claims Universe may not be expanding. The conventional model of cosmology is that most galaxies recede from one another as space itself inflates like the surface of a balloon — which would explain why other galaxies appear redshifted from our own galaxy's point of view.
But one cosmologist has a different interpretation of that redshift. It started with a bang, and has been expanding ever since. For nearly a century, this has been the standard view of the Universe. Greek Mythology Resource Page. Greek Mythology Resource Page Greek mythology refers to the entire corpus of fantastic and heroic stories used by ancient Greek people to make sense of the world in which they lived.

Konstantin E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics Russian physicist and school teacher, regarded as the founder of modern rocket theory. Born in the small town of Izhevskoye almost exactly 100 years before his country placed the world's first artificial satellite in orbit, Tsiolkovsky developed the mathematics of rocketry and pioneered a number of ideas crucial to space travel including that of multistage launch vehicles.
