( 7 Articles ) Welcome to The GreenHouse Project - a place-based project in Northeastern North Carolina that connects schools and community in a sustainable growing program. Join us on our journey as we engage partners to align project goals with high school curriculum objectives and contribute to the local community through service learning work. ( 1 Article ) These activities came from a teacher-training workshops - Physics From the Junk Drawer - that has been offered by The Science House for several years. Many teachers have taken the workshop and have applied the activities in their own classrooms - from first grade to high school.You're invited to enter the Geniverse Lab where you can explore dragon genetics. Earn stars for successfully completing inheritance and meiosis challenges. Explore simple inheritance as well as more complex patterns of inheritance with multi-allelic and polygenic traits. Narrative interwoven through the game engages students. Students investigate dragon phenotypes and genotypes, run breeding experiments and solve genetic problems in a virtual lab.
