Semiconductors are vital components in many electronic goods such as solar cells and light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and it is important to be able to cool these components for the future development of quantum computers and ultrasensitive sensors.
However, despite being called a cooling method, the technique the physicists employ works by doing exactly the opposite - heating up the material. Writing in the journal Nature Physics, the team, from the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, explains how they developed the use of lasers that were able to cool the membrane fluctuations to minus 269 degrees Celsius. Personal details belonging to UFC Chairman Dana White were published to the Internet after White had earlier gone on record labelling the Anonymous group as “terrorists”, claiming that their hacking efforts may revive SOPA. Updated below after Anonymous hacked the UFC website today. A range of White’s personal details — including has his cellphone number, social security details and criminal record – alongside the contact details of a number of fellow UFC executives were published on Pastebin. The posting, which was made by known Anonymous subgroup CabinCr3w, did not contain a message or statement, however.
White responded to Anonymous’ hack of the UFC website over the weekend but labelling the loose group of hackers as “terrorists” who are becoming hated for their actions, while he also referred to the Internet as “a place where cowards live”. However, a lot of times hiding files or folders in that way requires that you install some sort of software on your computer, which could then be spotted by someone else. I’ve actually written quite a few articles on how you can hide files and folders in Windows XP and Vista before, but here I’m going to show you a new way to hide files that is very counter-intuitive and therefore pretty safe!
Using a simple trick in Windows, you can actually hide a file inside of the JPG picture file! You can actually hide any type of file inside of an image file, including txt, exe, mp3, avi, or whatever else. While I agree that content piracy is a real problem, the language and implications of SOPA has the potential to hurt the very industries and content creators the bills purport to protect. Artists and content creators are understandably bothered by how easy it is to obtain content without payment. My musician friends cringe when their albums are available for download even before the CD is pressed. My filmmaker friends distress over seeing the blood, sweat and tears put into a project more easily accessible from MegaVideo or other filesharing sites than from Amazon or Netflix.
