Favourite brownie recipe ever!

http://www.unegaminedanslacuisine.com/2012/09/cream-cheese-chocolate-chip-cookies.html Because it's the weekend (at least according to the Baileys in my coffee), I'll keep this post short and sweet and simple. It's September. My birthday month. The month we're all snapped back into routine and reality (sometimes too harshly). We need the softness of chocolate chip cookies to help cushion the blow. Um...chocolate chunks and cream cheese?!

I’m fairly certain that I’ve discussed my lack of love for the great outdoors , so it’s safe to say you’ll never hear me writing about long hikes in the woods or camping anywhere other than on a deck chair at a five star resort (Hey, I can dream, right?). Not to say that I am not fond of the fresh air and scenery, I just like to keep a screen between me and the bugs. Needless to say, I don’t last long at picnics in the park or anywhere outdoors for that matter . http://www.mybakingaddiction.com/cheesecake-in-a-jar-recipe/

http://poppiesandpapayas.blogspot.com/2012/08/treat-of-high-summer-blackberry-and-red.html The hottest temperatures of the summer have finally hit Seattle. High 80's without a cloud in the sky greeted us North-westerners over the weekend. It was hot. To many across the nation, this may seem cool, but we here are not used to these highs. Many scramble through the house trying to find last years sunscreen and sun hats to prepare for the intense sunshine.

Food and Whine: Cherry Bread

http://www.foodwhine.com/2011/12/cherry-bread.html I love a nice fruit bread during the holidays. It's a sweet bread made with candied cherries, citrus peel and sometimes currents or raisins. My favourite part is the cherries, and I had quite a bit of cherries left over from making Cherry Chocolate Kiss Cookies , so I left out the other stuff and just made cherry bread. I also added about a teaspoon of cinnamon into the sweet dough to give it more flavour. The bread smelled so good when I pulled it out of the oven that I couldn't wait for it to cool down before cutting into it (this is why the loaf looks a little ragged in the photo).

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Brownie Cookies Brookies…two of my favorite desserts in one incredibly ooey, gooey treat. Half chocolate chip cookie and half fudgy brownie…does it get any better than that? You wouldn’t think so, but that’s when I decided to throw in some chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups into one of my favorite cookie recipes.
