The Game The Game of Life is not your typical computer game. It is a 'cellular automaton', and was invented by Cambridge mathematician John Conway. This game became widely known when it was mentioned in an article published by Scientific American in 1970. It consists of a collection of cells which, based on a few mathematical rules, can live, die or multiply. Depending on the initial conditions, the cells form various patterns throughout the course of the game.

This is really more of a side effect of the way that computer sales work. As a computer salesman, my goal is to pair you with a computer that (a) you'll be able to use to accomplish everything you want to do with a computer, including things you weren't thinking about (games, netflix) but that you'll use the thing for anyway, (b) that is capable of running things that your workplace / school will require of you, and also (c) that fits into your lifestyle well enough that it's something you'll be happy to keep using. If I fail at this job, two things will happen.
