Randall's ESL Vocabulary Quizzes Each listening activity on this Web site has a variety of vocabulary quizzes to help students review and improve their listening and speaking skills (see detailed description HERE). Although I suggest students complete the discussion, listening, and vocabulary practice first, students can also go directly to the vocabulary quizzes below for practice. You will find a link to the listening activity and direct links to the quizzes below. The quizzes have been arranged by level, but this is based the condition that students have already completed the entire listening activity and reviewed the vocabulary. Otherwise, students might find them more difficult.

Pendant les périodes d’apprentissage et d’entraînement, le document audio doit s’insérer dans un cadre aménagé, on veille à préparer l’apprenant à l’écoute : en créant au préalable le besoin des informations que le document va lui apporter, en activant le vocabulaire avant la phase d’écoute, en facilitant et en cherchant à développer sa capacité d’anticipation du contenu probable ou possible, et d’extrapolation à partir des éléments connus ou découverts, pour s’approprier le sens du message.
Après une première écoute et si la taille du groupe le permet, une phase d’échange en langue cible sur le contenu probable du document permettra de faire le point sur ce qui est compris (et de le reformuler), d’identifier les informations manquantes et d’échafauder des hypothèses. Avec des baladeurs mp3, on peut comme avec tout type de support créer un déficit d’information en ne donnant pas systématiquement les mêmes extraits à tous les élèves. Lire aussi Prise de notes.
