29 free Internet tools to improve your marketing starting today

While everyone else takes the long way, you and your shortcut get to breeze right through, skipping a few steps and feeling pretty smart doing it. Finding a good marketing shortcut feels especially great, considering all that we marketers have to do in a day. That’s why I went hunting for the top free marketing tools in a variety of marketing categories. These tools – all quick hits you can get started with easily – focus on everything from research and writing to benchmarking and analyzing. Research Tools We’ll start at the beginning: researching topics, sites and ideas. 1. I don’t know why more people don’t talk about Google Scholar, but I love this tool for researching science-heavy articles and digging into emerging studies. 2.

Described as a search engine for links, Open Site Explorer allows you to see a list of the sites that are linking to you – or another site. 3. Ideation Tools. Singularity University. The Coming Technological Singularity

This article was for the VISION-21 Symposium sponsored by NASA Lewis Research Center and the Ohio Aerospace Institute, March 30-31, 1993. It is also retrievable from the NASA technical reports server as part of NASA CP-10129. A slightly changed version appeared in the Winter 1993 issue of _Whole Earth Review_. Abstract Within thirty years, we will have the technological means to create superhuman intelligence.

Could we bioengineer a living city? If you've ever played StarCraft, you'll immediately recognize the living city in Paolo Bacigalupi's "Pocketful of Dharma" for what it is: a monstrous organic hive from which a new race of insectoid humans will soon be spawned.

Could we bioengineer a living city?

That was the first mental image that popped into my head, at least. In one of Bacigalupi's many disturbing future-scapes, a wasted, trash-ridden Chengdu is being consumed by a new city, one that "drew nutrients and minerals from the soil and sun, and the water of the rancid Bing Jiang; sucking at pollutants as willingly as it ate the sunlight which filtered through twining sooty mist". UN Report Says Small-Scale Organic Farming Only Way to Feed the World. Nick Meyer | AltHealthWORKS Even as the United States government continues to push for the use of more chemically-intensive and corporate-dominated farming methods such as GMOs and monoculture-based crops, the United Nations is once against sounding the alarm about the urgent need to return to (and develop) a more sustainable, natural and organic system.

UN Report Says Small-Scale Organic Farming Only Way to Feed the World

That was the key point of a new publication from the UN Commission on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) titled“Trade and Environment Review 2013: Wake Up Before It’s Too Late,” which included contributions from more than 60 experts around the world. How Bitcoin works- Part 1. iQote. I am neither an economist nor a mathematician and so the ideas presented in this post are at a fairly broad stroke level.

A fractal is a curve or geometrical figure (pattern), each part of which has the same statistical character as the whole. They are useful in modeling structures (such as snowflakes) in which similar patterns recur at progressively smaller scales, and in describing partly random or chaotic phenomena such as crystal growth and galaxy formation. The most well known is the Mandelbrot Set, discovered by Benoit Mandelbrot in 1979. Based on a fairly simple mathematical formula the pattern pictured here is repeated infinitely no matter how much you zoom inwards or outwards.

Many natural phenomena are fractal in nature. Benoit Mandelbrot recognised that financial markets are fractal in nature too. How threatening for mankind is an Artificial Brain ? “The Artificial Intelligense” To You, What is the "Ultimate" Outcome of Transhumanism?: Transhuman. Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies. World's first genetically modified babies born.

The world’s first genetically modified humans have been created, it was revealed last night.

World's first genetically modified babies born

The disclosure that 30 healthy babies were born after a series of experiments in the United States provoked another furious debate about ethics. So far, two of the babies have been tested and have been found to contain genes from three ‘parents’. Fifteen of the children were born in the past three years as a result of one experimental programme at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science of St Barnabas in New Jersey.

The babies were born to women who had problems conceiving. Genetic fingerprint tests on two one-year- old children confirm that they have inherited DNA from three adults –two women and one man.
