L’auteure Anne Dufourmantelle était d’une « humanité exceptionnelle » Née à Paris le 20 mars 1964, Anne Dufourmantelle a trouvé la mort le 21 juillet, sur la plage de Pampelonne, près de Ramatuelle (Var), dans des circonstances tragiques en portant secours au fils d’une de ses amies âgé de 10 ans, qui était en train de se noyer.

El contexto monumental confiere al rincón donde se ubica un carácter intimista, efecto realzado por la compañía de un banco de piedra corrido, pegado al muro, y una frágil encina que aporta un contrapunto efímero y poético al entorno pétreo. La escultura, que pertenece a la serie "Lo profundo es el aire", está realizada en acero y fue inaugurada en 1982, rinde homenaje a Jorge Guillén, inspirándose en los versos que el poeta vallisoletano dedicara a su ciudad: Villa por villa en el mundo.
