If you’re looking for a sweet treat these Chocolate Brownie Cookies might just be the ticket. Some days you wake up realizing you’re stuck in a rut. You don’t really know what got you there, except for the perpetual motion in the same direction. (That’s sort of the definition of a rut.) But then some days something will come along to shake your tires plum out of their tracks. Hopefully that something isn’t a panicked phone call from a loved one or an unexpected (and expensive) bill in the mail.
I have been experimenting with different mug cakes every since I heard about them about a year ago. None of them have been winners. They were either too chewy, too dry, or not sweet enough. Well, I continued experimenting, and thought why not add some decadent Nutella into the mix.
As always, thanks for visiting my site! If this looks delicious to you, please sign up for my occasional emails . . . with more great recipes! One of my absolute favorite flavors in the world (right up there with Nutella and mangoes) is Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce . Spicy, smoky, and oh-so-yummy! This french fry recipe is so flavorful that you really don’t need to dip them in anything.
I’ve always had a penchant for sunshine in a jar. Doesn’t the very phrase itself, “sunshine in a jar,” roll off your tongue and fill your mouth with magic? While I’ve never yet found myself a sunshine in a jar, I think we may have just concocted it in our kitchen tonight. In this simple recipe, a basic white cake is turned into a slew of bright colors, baked to perfection, then topped with a creamy white frosting. Cakes baked in jars can be topped with traditional metal canning lids and stored in the fridge for up to five days.
Cut watermelon flesh into 2-inch chunks and discard rind. Purée one fourth of watermelon in a blender with 1 Tbsp sugar, 1 tsp lemon juice, 4 cups ice, and a pinch of salt. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, discarding solids. Make 3 more batches. Add sugar to taste if desired and serve over ice. Cooks' note: Watermelonade can be made 1 day ahead and chilled, covered.
I’m sorry. I know it’s Monday morning and you probably came here for some pretty pictures of food that you could glance at, and then move on with your day… and here I go thrusting warm, soft cinnamon sugar bread in your face. It’s not fair. I know it’s not fair.
