Here I’ve replicated the process for you in 7 steps on an extension. While I never recommend bleaching out the ends of your hair at home, if you want to do the fun colors yourself, maybe get the tips bleached out by a pro + then play with the temporary colors on your own. The best things about this color– you’re able to hide it in a bun for work if you need to, AND you’re only doing a couple of inches on the bottom so it won’t kill you to cut it off if you get over it quickly. TOOLS: highlighting comb, clips, foils, color brush, hair bleach with the appropriate volume (always seek a professional when using bleach), light pink color, dark pink color, light blue, dark blue, clear gloss. Earlier, we brought you advice straight from the desks of Seventeen editors on how get the perfect at-home manicure. Well, now that you've got perfectly polished digits, here's another easy as 1, 2, 3 tutorial. We can't wait to wear this simple-yet-sophisticated topknot during the sweltering summer days ahead. Perfect for work or the weekend, read on to get this gorgeous braided bun at home. (Courtesy of Seventeen Ultimate Guide to Beauty) 1) Lift: Using just your hands, rake the front of hair to one side (to get the soft swirl), then loosely pull your hair up into a high ponytail and tie it with an elastic band. 2) Wind: Wrap the length of the pony around the base of the elastic (be sure to leave a piece of hair out in the back for the braid).

You’ll need: Dip the toothpick into the nail polish bottle so that the tip collects a round bead of polish. Place the bead of polish on a bare nail and drag it upwards, creating a tapered line. Create two to three more tapered lines, re-dipping the toothpick into the polish each time. Reload the toothpick with polish and drag a line across the tip of the nail.
