Mini Mac and Cheese Pies and a Virtual Baby Shower. I’m relatively new to the blogging world.

Mini Mac and Cheese Pies and a Virtual Baby Shower

New to who’s who in the blogging world, the traditions, the etiquette, and the community. At first, I was incredibly intimidated by the other bloggers out there-there’s so much talent, so much experience, and so much genuine love, and I was hoping I could keep up with it all. But, there have been a few bloggers who have welcomed me whole-heartedly into this part of the world, and Josie, from Pink Parsley, has always been one of them.

I’ve grown to love Josie’s blog, seeing her fantastic rendition of many Southern classics, her classic and inviting photography, but, best of all, feeling like I know her when I have never met her in person. Josie has an incredible love for her family, and it shows in the posts she writes and shares about being a mother and celebrating the lives of her daughter, Caroline, and her husband. While we are not all there with you physically, Josie, know that we love you and cannot wait to meet the little man! Easy Parmesan Knots. The Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes. What is a girl to do? Cinnamon Toast Rolls. The USDA released its new food pyramid the other day (which is actually a plate now instead of a pyramid), and I am sorely disappointed to report that cinnamon rolls did not appear anywhere on that plate.

Cinnamon Toast Rolls

I think by now most of us know what should be on our dinner plate in terms of healthy, well-rounded nutrient-laden meals, but it is my considered opinion that our breakfast plate should include cinnamon rolls now and then. And not just any cinnamon roll, mind you, but how ‘bout a homemade cinnamon roll hybrid that is a cross between a cinnamon roll and cinnamon toast, is super easy to make and gosh darn delicious. In honor of their ancestry, I call these little gems cinnamon toast rolls, and here’s all you need to make them… Yep. That’s it… some soft white bread, some butter and some cinnamon sugar. The kitchen confessional of Rebecca Crump. Summer Vegetable Macaroni and Cheese. My niece, Laney, is turning two this weekend, and my sister has asked me for two things: 1.) to stop cussing around the baby and 2.) to make a batch of petit fours for the birthday party. The first thing shouldn’t be a problem, since by the time I teach myself how to make the petit fours (French for “little pink slices of Hell”), there won’t be a four-letter word left in the universe. I just can’t get them out fast enough. The mailman probably thinks I’m speaking in tongues. On the bright side, nothing makes you crave vegetables like being surrounded by pink powdered sugar.
