Home » Inspiring Projects 20 August 2010 One Comment Youthful pop-cultural re-interpreter, James Hance has layered our favorite intergalactic, inter-species bromance over a few of our beloved youthful kinships. Namely, Winnie the Pooh & Christopher Robin and Calvin & Hobbes. A very straight forward yet loveable juxtapostion no doubt. Check out more of his work and purchase some prints while your at it. http://24flinching.com/word/gold-seal/inspiring-projects/wookie-the-chew/

List of colors

The following is a list of colors . A number of the color swatches below are taken from domain-specific naming schemes such as X11 or HTML4 . RGB values are given for each swatch because such standards are defined in terms of the sRGB color space . It is not possible to accurately convert many of these swatches to CMYK values because of the differing gamuts of the two spaces, but the color management systems built into operating systems and image editing software attempt such conversions as accurately as possible. The HSV (hue, saturation, value) color space values, also known as HSB (hue, saturation, brightness), and the hex triplets (for HTML web colors ) are also given in the following table. Colors that appear on the web-safe color palette—which includes the sixteen named colors —are noted. [ 1 ] (Those four named colors corresponding to the neutral grays have no hue value, which is effectively ignored—i.e., left blank.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors:_A-M

Miss Led was recently brought back to our attention and as an introductory post, we wanted to share her incredible, spell binding work with you all. Our favourites have to be the Alice in Wonderland murial, and the latex gloved, Georgian haired creature(inset).

Whilst looking through Behance I discovered a female illustrator called Irina Vinnik from Saint Petersburg, Russia. Her illustrations immediately struck me as being fantastically detailed. Drawn in a moleskin they have a quiet unassuming quality that makes them even more interesting. http://www.artcyclopedia.com/history/surrealism.html Europe, 1924 to 1950's Surrealism is a style in which fantastical visual imagery from the subconscious mind is used with no intention of making the work logically comprehensible. Founded by Andre Breton in 1924, it was a primarily European movement that attracted many members of the chaotic Dada movement. It was similar in some elements to the mystical 19th-century Symbolist movement, but was deeply influenced by the psychoanalytic work of Freud and Jung. The Surrealist circle was made up of many of the great artists of the 20th century, including Max Ernst , Giorgio de Chirico , Jean Arp , Man Ray , Joan Miro , and Rene Magritte . Salvador Dali , probably the single best-known Surrealist artist, broke with the group due to his right-wing politics (during this period leftism was the fashion among Surrealists, and in fact in almost all intellectual circles).
